I ... Lemon? In tea? What kind of travesty is this?
I love this fic, and compared to most it has relatively few Americanisms (although I will say that we say "term" rather than "semester" for school years), but this is my personal pet peeve in fan fiction.
I'd say 70% of Britain take their tea with milk and no sugar. One sugar is generally acceptable; two is most definitely not. I can count on one hand the number of people I know who have more than one sugar in tea with enough fingers left over to swear at them.

Other than that, great fic, keep it up!

Honestly, I would’ve thought Sirius would be much more serious and careful! Azkaban couldn’t have kept him being impulsive and stupid!

Hi. Nice series. Really enjoying it. But I think I spotted an error. In on of the previous stories, when Hermione is getting an explanation from Lily about marriages, Pansy tells her that she (Hermione) doesn’t need to know this as she is Muggleborn and the only Purebloods need it. In reply Hermione tells Pansy that, if that were the case the why is she telling to to Tracey, who is a half blood? My point is that Hermione already knows Tracey’s blood status, but on this chapter you have her react as if she doesn’t know it. Sorry if I’m irritating you. Just wanted to point it out. Thanks.

The buildup and eventual non-marriage in this chapter was narratively unsatisfying. First, the buildup a few chapters ago felt like romantic comedy level miscommunication—Harry decides not to tell his godfather that he was marrying a serial killer because it was awkward to say so. Then, apparently, so does everyone else Sirius knows (it’s not clear to me when he figures it out, but it seems like it’s after the timeskip). My problem is that this seems like a very contrived set of miscommunications. Instead of ignorance, wouldn’t it be in character for Sirius to wave off the concerns?

Second, leaving madam Blaise at the altar was an unsatisfying conclusion to the plot thread—although I hope it’s not a final conclusion, and it continues to have consequences further down the road. I think this was unsatisfying because the payoff was not proportionate to the buildup. The worry about the marriage had been building for chapters, was covered in multiple viewpoints, and took all of a sentence to fall flat. It would feel the same if the Philosopher’s Stone skipped the Quirrell/mirror scene and instead said “and then Harry walked through the black flames, defeated Professor Quirrell, and prevented the Stone from falling into the wrong hands”.

I’ve been reading and enjoying the series overall, but this chapter is very weak.
