While I disagree with what seems to be the ever expanding harem that ruby is gaining I have enjoyed the story and the characters in it. Iam looking forward to Tai interactions with the gang when they reveal ruby to him. I don’t have any questions so I’ll just wait for the next chapter

So I just binge read up to your last chapter and I found that I liked how you went about Ruby's issues. I liked how she didnt really try to run from her problems much.

As odd as it might be, I've found that i like stories where Summer and Raven hookup and it's nice that Summer wasnt killed off while Ruby was a child.

I'm interested to see the meeting with Tai and Rose.

I’d actually like a short recap of the major events in the story to this point. It’s been so long that my memories of it are kind’ve faded. Especially with other, similar stories, like “The Seventh Circle” having come out since.

I dont remember if i commented this on the previous chapter or not but, the image of team rwby wearing grimm hoodies is adorable.

I’m so happy your back! Hopefully the Tai/Rose confrontation is next, and Tai behaves (or not. I want the latter because its fun to read Rose beating up jackasses).

First off: I didn't have a problem with the length, I'm just glad this story is back. Seriously, I just about did a double-take seeing this show up on the front page.

Anyway, things are progressing again. Looks like Taiyang is going to be making his appearance soon, for one. I'll be honest: as much as I love this fic (which is a lot), I'm not really a fan of the Taiyang-has-a-temper thing. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like it came out of nowhere - he goes from happily married to Summer to "Man why won't she just give up on looking for her missing daughter that's totally also mine and not anyone else's, that crazy woman". It just feels weird, how seemingly the entire impetus for them splitting up is him being mad that she won't give up on looking for Ruby. Like, as far as he knows she's still his daughter, yet he's just going to give up on her? Sorry, but I can't see it, at least not like that.

HOWEVER, I will admit that there's something there I think you could explore. I could actually see this whole thing working if you went with it as a symptom of grief for both of them - IE "Sum, she's gone, you can't bring her back, you need to grieve like I am instead of being stubborn, because this isn't healthy for you", and then that spirals into a series of arguments, things get heated, and we get the situation we're in now. If you can do something like that, or anything that could justify it a bit more, I think you would be able to satisfy nitpickers like me.

That aside, I like what you've got going on here. You're clearly setting the stage for a confrontation with Tai, which is good because that plot thread's been hanging loose for the entire story and it needs to be resolved. Besides that, we've got the White Fang (what's left of them, anyway) set to start making their moves.

I do have to bring one thing up, though, and that's that I'm really not sure where this story could go. It seems like you're actually setting the stage to end things pretty soon, since the Taiyang confrontation is going to happen soon and will likely be followed by the White Fang, and I assume Adam will be dealt with pretty decisively there. I really don't know what else could come after that. Sure, there's a fight with Salem, but so many villains have defected to the hero side by this point that I'm not sure how compelling that fight would be. Seriously, Salem has like three people left on her side, and none of them stand a chance against the combined might of the heroes. I just don't know where you could take things in the future, while also still having it feel like there's some danger towards the heroes.

Now, that being said, that's not necessarily a bad thing - if you really are planning to end this fic soon, more power to you. But if you're not, you might want to think about what you could do to make the villains a bit more of a threat, because once the White Fang is dealt with, you're going to be left with like four people total, one of them being Salem herself, and I just don't see how you could make a compelling long-running narrative with them.

Anyway, I'm glad to see this fic back. It's still one of my favorites, and has been a massive inspiration on my own work. I owe a lot to this story, and to you. Thank you for writing it, and for continuing to update it, even if it's not always easy or time-friendly to you. Trust me, your fans appreciate it a lot more than you might think we do.
