How I think the plot of Avengers 4 will probably go:

1. There will be a time-skip (which is so obvious) that probably takes place within 5-10 years after Infinity War.

2. The first act will probably involve the surviving characters still lacking in unity and playing the “blame game” for the aftermath of the events of Infinity War; which would include, but may not be limited to, the following:

A. Bruce blaming Hulk via a mirror conversation for being a coward and not helping out in the most critical time, since Betty Ross was a victim of the snap (this has been confirmed on the internet). The assumption would then be that General Ross eventually learned of his daughter’s fate at some point and died of a heart attack as a result.

B. Thor being blamed for not killing Thanos when he had the chance. Thor will also learn that Sif was a victim of the snap (this was also confirmed on the internet); causing Thor to be once again plagued with a sense of brief unworthiness.

C. Rocket Racoon blaming Nebula for not stopping Star-Lord from deviating from the plan that would have removed the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos’ left hand and securing a win.

D. Tony still blaming Steve for not telling him that Bucky killed his parents; while Steve blames Tony for not calling him for help and assuming Tony's pride/ego/grudge got in his way. Pepper’s fate was not confirmed on the internet as to whether she survived or was also a victim of the snap, but IF she was the latter, it would add more fuel to the conflict between Tony and Steve…

3. The second act will probably be the arrival of Captain Marvel and Ant-Man (who manages to get out of his predicament in the end of "Ant-Man and the Wasp") just before the “blame game” threatens to make some of the heroes try to kill each other; with the former telling the surviving heroes to get their shit together. The heroes eventually fight Thanos a second time and win after a difficult battle due to his unfamiliarity with the abilities of Ant-Man and Captain Marvel. However, it would not be without cost; among the causalities would probably include a teenage version of Cassie Lang (due to her comments in Ant-Man and the Wasp of wanting to be a hero like her dad; thus she’ll probably die a hero).

4. The third act will probably be about how the surviving heroes initially plan to use the Infinity Gauntlet to bring everyone back from the snap. However, they will probably learn (to their horror) that the sheer amount of power to bring everyone back will risk shattering/destroying the stones before the job can be fully completed; thus there would be no guarantee that the plan would actually work. As such, the heroes would then decide to utilize the Gauntlet in a manner that allows them to either actually go back in time or transfer their current minds into their younger bodies. Regardless of which method, it ultimately works and the unified heroes would then create contingency plans leading up to the Battle of Wakanda.

5. The fourth act would be the reenactment of the Battle of Wakanda, which would work massively in the heroes’ favor this time around (and include the "heroes running toward the camera" scene from the teaser trailer of "Infinity War"). At least one casualty will probably be Nebula, who would probably sacrifice her own life so that Star-Lord would not lose Gamora again (the aftermath of this event would probably then be addressed in the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie and explore the relationship between Peter and Gamora further). Thanos would then be defeated in a manner that meets the satisfaction of the movie audiences and the events of "Infinity War" is rendered null and void, but the experience that the surviving heroes lived with in the previous timeline would still shake them to their core; thus leading to some of them going into retirement from superheroics (either temporarily or permanently)… This would then open a door to the introduction of the next years-long villain (to replace Thanos, but being an equal-level threat) and the next age of superheroes (to replace those who will never possibly be seen again or give existing ones a bigger spotlight); although the first couple of films of the next phase will probably deal with the aftermath of Avengers 4 (either immediately or within a few years afterwards).
