cypris88 chapter 77 . 6h This story was beautiful and haunting and completely gutted me. I was really surprised when it turned into a completely different story at chapter 26. At first it was sort of hard to "start over" with this different version of Hermione, but I think the story really hit its stride during the flashbacks. Particularly with Hermione losing her closeness with Harry and Ron, her frustration with the Order's unwillingness to use more lethal curses, and how she tries to approach Draco as a mission and it evolves into something so much more messy and complex. I was so sure something was going to go horribly wrong in the final chapters as they escaped the Manor and can't explain how relieved I was when I reached the epilogues. Thought their version of a happy ending was realistic, hard-earned and well deserved. Thank you for all the time and energy you put into writing this story. This one will stay with me. |
Siriusly-need-u chapter 77 . 7/19 Hi, I just finished the story and could not stop myself from writing this. Thank you! For writing this beautiful story. For making it so detailed that I've never read anything like it. I've read it straight for 3 three days and the way you've portrayed the characters is absolutely breathtaking. It's only a few times when an author writes something so beautiful that we feel every word of hers, every emotion, every pain, every triumph. I'd been putting off reading it for so long because I knew it was dark. I can handle something dark and heavy, but I was reading it with such bated breaths that once I've finished, I can't stop crying. I feel every pain Hermione goes through, I feel I am her. I have anxiety issues and in the last three chapters, I was panicking over 'when would anything go wrong, like it always has'. The ending was perfect but I am so conflicted, maybe being a staunch Hermione fan I wanted credit for her, but I also understand the way it is. Thank you with all my heart. I'm now off to read fluff pieces for days. |
Frostbit3 chapter 63 . 7/18 All I feel is pain. |
lizzie08 chapter 77 . 7/17 Oh my.. what a rollercoaster of emotions! At first I was quite hesitant while reading this fic because I thought that somehow the non con from the beginning would develop into a romance and I honestly didn't enjoy the thought of a dark borderline Stockholm Syndrome relationship. However, I decided to keep reading because of Draco's bizarre behaviour, as if he had a secret that he desperately wanted to share with Hermione. There were little hints here and there. And let me tell you, I made the right decision. Once the flashbacks started, it was as if I had become Hermione and I was absorbing all of that information like a sponge. Sometimes it felt like my brain was going to explode as I explored Hermione's memories and tried to connect the dots. It had me in tears to realise what both of them had had to do in order to survive, how agonizing it must have been for Draco to deal with Hermione's memory loss. I was absoloutely blown away by the amazing quality of your work! The foreshadowing is so subtle yet perfectly woven into the plot. Like little bread crumbs here and there. I can't imagine just how much dedication you have put into structuring the plot so that it all made perfect sense at the end! I certainly will read the whole story again, just to fully appreciate every little clue that had been carefully laid out on the first chapters. This is surely one of the best dramione stories ever written! I love how bittersweet the ending was. I couldn't end any other way, could it? And I find it shocking that I understand Draco, an Avada was better that what other Death Eaters would have done to the Resistance. Thank you for your time and effort and thank you for sharing such a well planned story. PS. That last line will stick with me forever. She was a non-active member of the Order of the Phoenix and she did not fight. |
Priyanshi chapter 77 . 7/17 One of the best fanfics I've read lately! It was almost impossible to put down and has a mind - blowing plot! Ioved every word of it. And the ending...it blowed me to such shock that iij forgot to cry...It was an amazing story and I wish, if ever JK Rowling or anyone decides to publish a book/series of books of Harry Potter/ dramione fanfics...I wish yours to truly hold a place there. I'll say this again, the story was amazing and u enjoyed every second of reading it...thank you for such a heart wrenching but beautiful read. |

agnesmagnes chapter 77 . 7/13 While reading this story I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat and I couldn’t work. All I was thinking was what is going to happen next and how this is going to end. This is well-written, incredibly realistic and sad story which got me crying so often because of all of these mixed emotions I had while reading. Characters seemed authentic, unique and not plain, but with complex traits instead. What is rarity here on FanFiction, no one was just mainly good or evil. Every character was somehow on the in-between spectrumeven Harry which wanted to be so good that his naivety led him to loosing one of his best friend in a way. Somehow this story is both tragic and hopeful simultaneously. I really recommend this story to everyoneit’s worth every minute of reading, but be aware. This it’s not an easy tale, which will leave you unaffected. |
MissKonoha chapter 53 . 7/12 Absolutely beautiful! So tender, the moment he chooses to call her Hermione. I’m enamoured by your writing. Brilliant! |
mafeg95 chapter 77 . 7/12 OMG WHAT A STORY! I finished it in two days, it was amazing! The complexity of emotions that all of the characters go through is amazing, and as horrible as everyones experiences were, this is written beautifully. It's so realistic on how a war that went so long could have ended and it was just an incredible read |
TheVisComica chapter 66 . 7/12 Wow I loved the story do much! It's extremely well written and contains few such good twists, I really didn't know what to expect, and how the story will develop. It's dark but keeps you hypnotised until the very end. This is one of the stories you will never forget. |
