I loved your opening line. And the rest was really lovely and fun. I particularly liked your handling of the part where Merlin was unequivocally in command of the situation, yet he remained collected and wanted to include Arthur in the decision; it was a cool way to show Merlin's humility in the midst of his display of power. Thanks for this lovely little fic! :)

Excellent wording! You utilize the technique of treasure sentences so fluently that it astonishes me.
My favorite sentence in this story is "He felt as if he were walking on a length of twine suspended miles in the air, and that the slightest shift in his balance would send him tumbling to oblivion..." Truly remarkable. That entire scene there, that little section, I can see it so clearly in my mind as though it were happening in front of me. I forgot I was reading, pictures just streamed through my mind.

Oh, I really loved this take on the magic reveal, and Merlin getting to do big magic without having it be destructive. Wonderful story!

Aww that was so sweet! I loved it. Glad to see a sweet reveal for once. Don't get me wrong, I love the angsty stuff but this was refreshing. Definitely one of my new favorites.

It's a good idea but Merlin wouldn't run out of magic; as we're told, he is of the earth, sky, oceans etc - his magic is that of the world, so would never run out.
