The story is very grown up.

This makes this a heavy read for fanfiction.

But you can pull it off!. The plot, the writing style. It fits well together.

I am gratified to read your latest. I am pleased your treatment of Christine is more mature and that she didn't dwell too much on the past. Grief is such a leveler of people and their emotions; I really thought you caught that quite well. Even with the two Vulcans, Spock's grief came out as needing to be taken care of and Sarek's need to control. The winners were Christine and Spock. Such a good story.

Finally, I love your style of writing,...I want so much to flip to the end and see what surprises you have in store, the plot twists, but the surprise was there were no plot twists and that really works for me.

I love Chapel's telling Sarek that Spock is Starfleet, so they have jurisdiction, not him. But then, I've been carrying a grudge against Sarek since "Journey to Babel." :-)

Your stories always have so much pain in them. You write it very well, and I'm impressed at your skill, but I hope that your actual life doesn't contain as much pain as your stories do.

Your Spock is always so much more selfish than the nearly selfless man I saw on the screen. I suppose yours is more realistic, but I always feel as if you're diminishing him. Spock's incredible goodness is one of the biggest reasons why I love him.

Anyway, excellent as always, and onto Chapter 2!

Ahhh, another beautiful sad but perfectly sweet one. That ending was exactly what I needed today haha I loved the back and forth in this especially between Christine and Spock it was particularly organic. This also besides being wonderful s/c goodness makes me want to read more Christine and Kirk again lol

Love your stories and so glad to see a new one. Grief is such an individual experience but everyone goes through it and reacts differently. You show there is no right or wrong way to experience it. Sorrow stabs your heart and soul and your story really shows how it effects your daily life and relationships. But time really does heal and you can some through the darkness that can consume you.

Utterly charming story. In this upended, dirty world, right now, this happy ending is good for the original ST soul. For my heart too. Thank you for this.
