What a fantastic short story, it's like a Bruce Lee one inch punch in its power and focus.

Wow. What a tale. It makes me feel sorry for Jane though. Without her dear sister Lizzy and then made to marry Collins. It seems that she is the one who truly paid for her mother's crime.
This would be great as a fully developed story.

What a tough story. Well written. Well thought through. But difficult. I guess Mr Gardiner is in line with canon and very classy and elegant in all his dealings.

This story is just brilliant :), the portrayal of Fanny Bennet and Grace Phillips is powerful, they are evil beyond belief.
I’m so sad for Mr Bennet, he at least mourned the loss of his 3 girls.
Thankfully the girls life was wonderful with their “adopted” family, all are happily married and mothers themselves. It’s life they would never have had at Longbourn.

Fanny never got what she wanted, good.
The son and heir never materialised, Lydia ran off and was never heard from again and poor beautiful Jane had to marry Collins.

I hope Fanny and Grace suffered for the rest of their miserable lives grrr !

I hope the author writes some more P&P for us soon :D
