I thoroughly enjoyed reading this... Your character blended in seamlessly and skilfully, but also added her own flair to the plot, bringing the entire story to life. I loved it, because it’s pure unadulterated “Naruto” in all its glory, with no heavy (and pointlessly tragic) angst, no saturation of political shenanigans, no bashing of characters, no lazy magic fix-it-all’s and no muddled canon-divergences that go so far that the story and it’s characters become completely unrecognisable. You managed to maintain the series’ shounen spirit, and expound on the connections between the characters with heartfelt moments and relationships which brought me a sense of nostalgia. Ironically, reading this was like a breath of fresh air in comparison to all the oc/self-inserts out there BECAUSE of your overall faithfulness to canon; but of course, you did it all with a your own spin and a healthy dose of imagination and creativity, particularly in the fight scenes and the “behind-the-scenes” plot line that runs parallel to Naruto’s actual adventure. Also, I loved the characters’ bantering- some of the exchanges were absolutely priceless.

Another thing that was wonderful was the realistic relationships that Yuiko builds with the characters, both good and bad! I find that a lot of SI/OC stories have their main characters magically getting along with EVERYONE, and the characters they have issues with are more often than not, thoroughly bashed or later erased from the story. It annoys me at times, because these authors attempt to make their stories more “adult” or “realistic” by having angst/drama/tragedy planted everywhere like a freakin’ minefield, yet the most unrealistic element of the story then ends up being the main character’s relationships with others. In the end, all the characters in those stories end up getting along so well that they eventually begin melding together like some kinda overprotective, xenophobic monocyte with a boring “us” against “them” mentality (which then leads to undue character bashing ).

I mean, I guess you want to emphasise a sense of belonging as achieving your form of wish-fulfilment but honestly, it’s super unrealistic and not at all how most human relationships work; people can get along, but they’re also gonna fight, and find each other annoying at times- it’s just how it is and it isn’t all sparkles and rainbows.

On one hand, a part of me really wants to see Yuiko in the Boruto Movie, but you’ve also ended the story so beautifully that I won’t blame you if you never touch this again, haha...

bruh this book literally has no order to things. like one chapter it’s a fight and the next it’s the past; it’s confusing as hell especially since there's no warning or whatever whatsoever

That technique reminds me of TenTen although she doesn’t create the weapons, she carries them in scrolls. Still reminds me of her though.

Wow... I can’t believe it’s over. Throughout this chapter I had a bittersweet feeling knowing that this was already the end. But I loved every part of it. A perfect ending to a perfect story. And I have to say that this has been the best Kakashi x OC story I’ve ever read! And a top favorite in fanfics as well:) aww I don’t know to say I’m just so happy that I discovered your story, it really was amazing to read! Naruto wanted his son to have a similar experience? He wanted one of the teachers to lie to Boruto and try to convince him to steal a top secret scroll, for Boruto to knock his own father out with a wildly inappropriate jutsu, and then have to run for his life while two of his teachers try to kill each other and him? Oh...he meant the bell test...

A feature that is unique to her...and Karin. I am not convinced that Sarada is Sakura's child!

Man, it's come along way huh? I'm sad that Lightning is finished but excited and happy to see such a good ending, so few stories get finished making this pretty amazing just for that not counting how great the writing is and the story as a whole. Speaking of the story I love the OCs of this story they're genuinely some of my favourites in recent times and they made me cry like just outright ball at times from not knowing what would happen until I read the next chapter. Something Lightning did constantly for me was make me want to read more and I actually read the first hundred or so chapters in two days because of this.

Anyway, this has been an amazing story that I loved and is definitely one of my all-time favourites so with this being my first and last review for this story unless when I come back to reread it I make more until then See You, Space Cowboy...

That’s a nice ending. A good combination of satisfaction and no cliffhangers. I love the dynamics with Beru and Suzu. Here’s a question though. Would the chunin exams go as they did in canon? I think with your changes they wouldn’t, but the Otsutsuki would still attack. Wait, that also makes Yuiko a target. Ah! Never mind. Thank you for updating and congratulations on finishing the story!
