Well, at first I was a bit sad that you ended it like this, but the more I think about it, the more I like it. It's a perfect open ending, I can't complain.

I haven't read Twilight fics in a while, and even when I was still in my Twilight phase, I was never into Bella/Carlisle. But it strangely enough works quite well here. And Edward does make such a compelling villain, much more than a love interest. Adding the mention of the other Cullens not being turned cause of Carlisle's guilt was a nice touch.

And I love the name of the fic. It really works quite well, although not in a usual manner of being between two evils, here it's facing one or becoming another.

Edward is creepy as fuck. Good job portraying his shitty personality.

Gosh I can't believe I didn't review it! Serious this ending? I'm screaming. I am not a great fan of Twilight because I found it too unbelievable, and the romance toxic. But seriously, this fic is the best! This version of Edward is so much more satisfying, and even more creepier than some book character I know. I tried to imagine what happened next, but I can't seem to write Edward as creepy or dark. I imagine Edward would still pursue Bella even if she changed into a vampire, and take a somewhat sadistic glee to make Carlisle suffer by using her? This Bella is so much more better too, even if she is sort of a Damsel in distress, it is not because of her choices that made me want to shake her until she has some common sense, here we can't fault her for her situation because well human vs blood sucking telepath vampire? She never stood a chance. Even without Carlisle, Edward would have been interested in her because he can't read her mind. Do you think there could have been a chance of romance between Edward and Bella (in a darker way than in Twilight) if Bella did or didn't meet Carlisle?

It is one of the best Twilight fics. Edward was always creepy especially in canon. What a brilliant villain he makes.
