Okay. This just punched ALL THE BUTTONS. First of all, upon re-watching Rebels, my brain has been STOLEN by one Alexsandr Kallus. I used to LOATHE him, and I canNOT believe he chipped away at my heart.

I have not, nor shall I ever, be over Kanan's death. I am still angry with the show writers and FPJ for this. It's a huge universe. There was room. I'm so sick of unhappy endings.

But, back to my first point - I ABSOLUTELY ADORE redeemed Kallus and this interaction...IT DID THINGS, MAN. I'm a total pile of goo.

I love it so much.

I was smiling and emotional and in awe the whole time. I love the characterizations, the subtle prose that gives me such a beautiful picture, and hearing the voices. (OMG, the voice...sorry, I digress.) At any rate, the surrealism of this story left me fealing gobsmacked; gosh, there's so much HISTORY in this little piece. How complete 180 this man has come. I absolutely love that he could feel Kanan's presence, and spoke aloud. RESPECT. Kallus adores Kanan's kid and has profound admiration and respect for the kid's mom. They're family. WOW, was it so unlikely. But they're family.

I FREAKING LOVE IT.

Hahaha Kallus’s reaction at the end was great. I love the idea of him as an uncle to jacen! I never considered there might be gossip about Hera. This was sweet :)

Girl, I loved this. When Jacen says “Dead BUGS!” I could totally see it. And when the kid wanted to name the lizard Kanan, I just about cracked up. I like how Kallus sees Kanan in the boy and it, on the whole was just a well written piece!

Hahaha I loved the fic with Kallus and depa, and this one is even better. The way you captured jacens curiosity while keeping true to his age was really well done. Keep writing!

Kallus with a sense of mischief and a young boy trying to act right to a mother he adores and a father he misses. I love your stories with Kallus and a Kanera child - he is a perfect uncle.

Also Kallus' compliance in naming a lizard after Sabine is a thing of beauty. I'm a big fan of uncle alexandr in general. I like him using his powers of observation and intelligence for good of the people he once hunted.
