Reading this made me feel like I was reading the books again and brought back little details I'd forgotten about like Percy destroying the glacier. Loved the idea about Hazel using the Mist for good things. The girls' friendship is really great and Percy's concern was really sweet. Great stuff. (And I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree Hazel needs more love than she gets!)

Oooh, a fic with Hazel's POV. Don't see that much.

I also like Hazel a lot. In fact, I sort of like the Hazel-Frank-Percy trio of SoN better than the Jason-Piper-Leo trio of TLH. Not that I have anything against the latter, it's just that I just enjoyed reading the SoN trio better. I always cackle maniacally when I read that whole scene in the Amazon HQ when Hazel is attacking the Amazons with friendship bracelets, Percy is saying "I will never wear jewelry again" and Hazel is gushing over how cool Arion is while Frank and Percy are horrified by him and his swearing. They have so much chemistry as a team.

I like the Annabeth-Hazel friendship. I know that Annabeth and Piper are supposed to be the close ones but I do recall that Annabeth was trying to cheer up Hazel in MoA.

Love all the magician Hazel references too. I just love magician/wizard/sorcerer characters in general and I thought it was cool that Hazel, a daughter of Pluto and not Hecate, still learned magic anyway. The moment when she tricks Sciron in HoH was awesome IMO. That makes me wonder if non-Hecate/Mist/underworld/death-related kids have the capability to learn magic. We get these references to campers "cursing" other campers, like the Apollo kids making people speak in rhymes and Aphrodite kids cursing people's wardrobes and stuff, but those are all related to their godly parent's domains. Could they expand beyond that? Is that stuff they do even considered magic? It's not like Camp Half-Blood has a magic class (though it would actually be really cool if they did).
