Oh, Luffy got the tattoo. I think he wanted to be as cool as Law. Curious what is the design that he only wanted to reveal it in the room :).
I love it that Law’s bounty is high, and that they were not in the Grand Line still. But I agree that Luffy will somehow beat him. I think it was also a sort of friendly competition between them.

Re: the actual story. I'm really glad you shook things up early on and strayed from revisiting canon events with only the smallest of changes. Your observation on time travel fics are mine as well.

Your firm grasp on character voices and the spirit/feel of the one piece world is my favorite part about this fic. The zany charm of the characters and world are present, but you haven't gone overboard with it. Interactions feel genuine, and the changes in adult Luffy are subtle and believable.

Kinda wondering if coby's gonna witness the corruption among the ranks of the Marines this time around if he didn't follow Luffy. Also wondering if alvida will ever meet up with buggy and cause trouble for Luffy if she was clearly outclassed in this first interaction. Curious to see what you do with pochi. Luffy doesn't seem like the type of person who would just bring a pet along as a crewmate if they aren't striving for a dream he resonates with.

The moment you created between Luffy and Zoro was quite powerful.

Whoooo. I'm so glad this updated. And luffy's reached his first crewmate! Law's crew is super chill, but the strawhats will always be in a tier above in my heart.
