This is lovely, as everything you write always is. I hope you and your family are doing OK. All the lines about how Fred and Angelina can't be arsed remind me of that joke from 'Still Game'. They're trying to figure out how to get anti-depressants from the doctor, and they think about what they'll say when the doctor asks them how they know they're depressed, and Victor says, 'Well, I cannae be arsed with anything or anybody.' It's a joke when he says it, but it's so true, isn't it? That's depression in a nutshell pretty much. Anyway, I hope you're doing OK.

This comes from a very personal place and from experience and it shows. I like it. I hate it-it's so accurate it hurts. It captures it perfectly. It conveys that painful moment when you get excited to tell or share something with them and then oh, the realization hits. You have a happy moment and then reality steps back in. All those future moments and memories to be made that you take for granted. It also reminds us that while things never get "right," they do get better. I'm keeping you, your mum, and your family in my thoughts.
