This is always a stretch in lots of fics.. testing out student potions on other students.
In ANY decent institution, they would allow students to make their lab experiments for experience and then the teacher will bring out a properly prepared experiment and use that to show how it works.

Ok, now I am almost certain you never read the books. Lily was a Gryffindor, not a Ravenclaw. Oh, and in case you try claiming James was a seeker like Harry, that was in the movie only. In the books, James was a chaser.

Just curious if you actually read the books or just watched the movies and never caught that his name is Harry James Potter not Harry Andrew Potter. I mean, I would have to read it over again but I am pretty sure it says his full name in the very first book. I haven't ever watched the movies from beginning to end so am not sure if his full name was ever said in the movies. That's what makes me wonder if you ever actually read the books.

But Harry Andrew Potter drives me nuts! Do a bit more research if you're not sure next time.
