Show scene transitions in the regular narration instead of a rapid sequence of jarring labels. [The stars are still falling from the skies until it has stopped. The clouds gathered around Dorne and the waves just stood still. A sharp, loud crack to a long, low rumble awoke Dorne. A great storm that shook their lands and the people are hidden tightly in their homes. Mountains broken down and clashes towards each other as if there is a battle between the heavens and the earth. The place called, Starfall.] Try to avoid sounding profound over actually making sense. There's a disconnect between the message you seem to be trying to convey and the way it's written. Like stars falling? You mean shooting stars? What do clouds suddenly stopping in Dorne have to do with waves? There are a few parts with the writing that are awkward as well. If you don't already have a beta/proof-reader, find one. A good one is an endless supply of help in every situation, from plotting to punctuation. |
