I like this, its very different!

Mortem doesn’t really make any sense. I understand she’s the personification of death, but her form is female. Females create life, and gives birth (and males too, of course, with the former). The thing about the original Reaper is that he’s the form of a dead human, for obvious reasons. And he doesn’t really have any gender, does he? He can be both female and male, but he’s a skeleton under a cloak, so go figure. I don’t understand why you would make Mortem a female, and white-haired of all things. And why would she have any feelings — why would she be soft with Danny, contrary to Clockwork’s passiveness? It would make much more sense if she was more like Clockwork — professional and borderline emotionless.

Oh well. Didn’t really intend to begin ranting. I love what you’ve done so far, though, and the concept is cool. Couldn’t spot any grammar wrongs, either, so I can’t complain. Everything’s lovely!

I bet people think Phantom kidnapped Danny.

I like this story a lot so far. A non obsessed Vlad, not trying to trap him, just trying to be a good guy is a refreshing take on the danny vlad fatherson trope. I'm looking forward to see what else you write!
