awwww this was so good to read! I seriously hope it's not the end, as I really love reading your one-shots. Though it'd be super awesome to see a sequel of some sort xD I'm nostalgic that way. But yes, this was lovely, and I enjoyed getting to see the other Kakashi's perspective as well as Rin's about the whole ordeal. :)

Ooo I like that. I kinda half wondered if Obito would be there watching in disbelief that Rin was alive? They did show in the anime him watching Kakashi over Rin’s grave. Sooo…I don’t know just a thought. Once again glad it all worked out they deserve a happy ending.

I was going to ask what Obito's reaction was to Rin being 'back' and being a jinchuriki but so many already replied to that so I'm more curious about Iruka on both worlds. How did Iruka from the original world react to Naruto's 'death' (probably not too well, I think, especially once he realizes there is another kyuubi jinchuriki since the implications might mean that she might be related to Naruto's 'death'), as well as mirrorWorld!Iruka who never met Naruto before and might be pretty convused why the Yondaime Hokage's son is randomly inviting him for ramen at Ichiraku's XP.

Nice. I was worried about how their relationship would turn out. I’m so relieved that Rin and Kakashi both didn’t the sentiment that “that’s not MY Kakashi/Rin” negatively affect their interactions with each other.
It’s good to see that this Konoha is getting back on its feet.
I hope more one shots are coming! I’d like to see where the people from both Konohas go from there. It would be great to have some snapshots of Naruto’s new life. Also, I’m crossing my fingers that Rin and Kakashi become a couole in the future XD it would probably take a loooong time tho

Really sweet and melancholic, but oh man, while I love this as a resolution to Looking Glass, this also makes me really uneasy because knowing Obito, he's going fuck things up sooner or later.

I can't tell you how much I was excited to see this! For Looking Glass, I felt that lovely feeling as a reader of imagining scenarios for its continuation! There are so many implications to Rin returning, the most significant of which, I think, would be this world's Obito. What would happen if he were to hear about a jinchuriki of the Leaf named Rin? Would that cause him to leave the Akatsuki? How would he interact with Rin and Kakashi if he returned, so far from who he was (and responsible for this Minato's death)! Even in a world without Obito, I'd still think it'd be very sweet and interesting to see Kakashi and Rin getting to know each other. Seeing where their memories lined up and where they didn't. Perhaps having certain expectations for each other's behaviour based on the person they knew, even if, as Kakashi says, "She's not our Rin." And I'd love to see Kakashi, Tenzo and Rin as a group of friends, since the boys are the only ones currently in the village with either mokuton or sharingan. I'd also wonder about this world's Sakura and Sasuke, and what they'd be like with Naruto gone. Or the rest of the world for that matter. Would Rin be able to fill voids in people's hearts the same way Naruto did? I could talk for ages about the world you've created and how fascinating it is!

Honestly, I really do hope you continue to write about this universe. If you were interested in doing a sequel to Looking Glass, I'd definitely read it, though Looking Glass is of course a fantastic story on its own. Or even a series of oneshots. But if not, I'm just happy that you've shared such a lovely story at all! Congrats on the amazing work.

While this is very touching, and I'm really glad you wrote it (Looking Glass is one of my favorite stories), I can't help but feel bad for them.

Because they'll run into Tobi sooner or later.
