Pretty great fic

Pretty intense. I don't really understand the alchemy though. Black is pretty simplistic, but the later three stages all seem like the same thing, just creating a perfect product.

I did some cruising around on the spacebattles thread and I THINK I've figured it out.

Black is obviously just decomposition.

White is re-composition. Mixing things together and creating an end product.

Yellow is reinforcement? Like increasing the potency of a product.

And Red I guess is kind of spiritual/enlightenment? Trying to find the ideal form of something and guiding it towards that. So the ideal metal is gold, so a process to turn all metals to gold. Or maybe if the ideal fruit was an apple, a process that converts all fruits into apples?

I've quite enjoyed this fic myself - it's technically pretty well written, and the plot deviations are much welcomed, allowing for a good cycle of tension and release that is far less predictable than most fics. Good job!

This story and the previous one are really good. I hope to see more. Will you be covering third year as well?

This fic could be much better than it is if you weren't so biased in favor of the Nasuverse's characters.
I followed the spacebattles' thread and was rage inducit to read your defense of how you portrait Snape in this fic. "That's his canon personality", you said. Curious that you didn't have any problem making Flamel evil to whitewash the Einzberns here, huh?.
That's all you do, vilify Potterverse's characters and whitewash Nasuverse's. Not only the Einzberns,
Tokiomi?: whitewashed, Kiritsugu?: not only whitewashed but still married to Irisviel, with two kids and still knowing Maiya and Natasha. Because of course, Kiritsugu must be happy, of course, no matter how stupid and implausible in this setting is that.
Meanwhile, the Potterverse is totally the same as Canon. But you aren't biased, not at all.

In Spacebattles you justified some criticism of Snape's portrayal saying that he acted like that in canon. Which is hilarious considering that you made Flamel evil to whitewash the Einzberns.

I already mentioned the Einzberns, but they aren't the only ones. Tokiomi?: whitewashed, Kiritsugu?: even worse, you not only whitewashed him; You made him being married to Iri, with two kids and partnered with Maiya and Natalia. Which is completely stupid and absurd considering in which setting we are.
