Its kinda weird that he assumes right away that she is muggleborn. Often they would say "im not familiar with than name" and ask if she is halfblood or ask if she has a relation to Hector Dagworth Granger.

They can have it all if they want, hopefully Orion will divorce Walburga soon and be openly with Hermione! If not is only unfair for Hermione and she deserves so much more!

I just finished binging this story through this chapter and am really enjoying it! Sirius' musings of himself as a "dad" were so sweet...'You're the best daughter ever!' says the 13 year old to his 25 (?) year old tutor and friend! Perfect Sirius! I have cautious hope for a better relationship between Orion, Sirius, and Regulus too. Hermione's unofficial adopted familial relationship with the Malfoy men is unexpected and precious. I love how Lucius came around and supports Hermione completely, and then gave her an expensive purse as an attempt of an apology for putting her under the Cruciatus curse. Sorry. but that was humorous bc it's so in character for him. Walburga having an affair with Rabastan is cringe worthy! blech!

Now, Hermione and Orion have such a special relationship...lots of chemistry, affection, admiration, and now it seems love. I really feel bad for how betrayed Orion feels about Hermione's lies, but can he seriously blame her? How would he have handled the same situation? She would've looked like a crazy person spouting claims of being a time-traveler straightaway. I wonder what he thinks about her being adopted into the Black family by Sirius in the future? (I loved. that too! Such a loving thing for future Sirius to do for Hermione!) I hope he is earnest in his love for Hermione, bc she is the same person in most ways, things he loves about her remain the same. If he is, then he will understand her untenable situation and stay by her side.
