I knew sensory deprivation can be a form of torture, but I hadn't realised just how quickly it works. 3 days. just 3 days for lance. it's ready fked up and I wish I could hug him. this was really good and I really liked the healing parts with coran and hunk and Shiro. especially Shiro at the end there.

Okay, before I say it I mean this jokingly, but I would be absolutely terrified of you kidnapped me. Like you know how to torture people and you know how to do it well. So kudos. You're not a dark person, you're an author, who has to be aware of the subject matter.
Lances attempts at bribing and mentioning his voice is like an angel, which it is (can I get an amen!), were hilarious.
Platonic cuddles! I love cuddling almost as much as life itself so this is beautiful to see written up. Also, sign me up for some more Shangst because that may just be my new fav thing!

I always love it when you have aspects of Finding the Real Shiro in your stories, because Kuron is beginning to alarm me a little bit in the show. I mean, no, he hasn't done anything bad yet, and if they can, I hope they can get Haggar's programming out of his head and let him live a normal life. But I need the real Shiro back! Like, really, really need!

AND I FORGOT TO MENTION THE SENSORY DEPRIVATION AND HOW MUCH I ADMIRE YOU FOR ACTUALLY TAKING TIME TO DO PROPER RESEARCH. YOU WRITE ALMOST 10 000 WORDS AND STILL DECIDE TO RESEARCH THINGS TO MAKE THE STORY ACCURATE, THAT'S INSANE!

One thing that I reaaaally love in stories is when the writer doesn’t really describe things, because it’s not needed. I remember once when I read a FNAF-fanfiction and the author posted an entire chapter without any real text. No actual descriptions or dialogue, just sounds (or, well, sounds in words). The chapter in itself didn’t mean anything, but with the context (the murderer smashing the animatronics into pieces) it was bone chilling, and probably my favourite chapter of the whole thing, because it felt so original to me. You obviously didn’t go that far, but you described what was happening from the perspective of someone who didn’t know what was happening, and I love that. I mean, you can’t build an entire fanfiction on it, but it works brilliantly as a small chapter or a part of one. It was so creepy to not know if what Lance experienced was true, or just inside of his head; to not actually know what was happening, and instead just reading his pure experience (it feels like the wrong word but I can’t think of a better one x)), and even creepier to watch his thoughts slowly fade away, until I wondered if you would make him go completely insane. I’m, for example, obsessed with the line “Lance cried. Maybe”, and others in the same style. They just sound so empty.

I could go on for so long, but I think (hope) I got my point through. I just love when authors to that, because it brings the reader into an unsure or chaotic situation, where long descriptions sometimes are unnecessary. (Wow I sound so professional but in reality I’m just trying to make sense of my thoughts). As a reader, I was right there with Lance thinking “What is happening. I don’t like it. Please end now.” (While simultaneously admiring your work so so much.)

And then I obviously have to mention the Shiro angst, because he’s always so strong and grown up, so it feels weird but also absolutely logical when he doesn’t know what to do. And I want to be mad at Black for leaving, but at the same time I understand her. I too want to protect Shiro at all costs, but maybe not if the cost is Lance’s life.

Sounds of Darkness is absolutely my favourite one shot from you. 10/10, I would read again (and I will now, because while writing this I remembered how amazing it actually was).

In all seriousness though, I /really/ liked this one. It was dark and terrifying, without being gorey. Focuses on psychological aspects a bit more, for me. (And as a sensitive person with sensory overload issues, the idea of sensory deprivation is chilling.)

Ah, Kuron. Liked that Lance doesn't outright hate him - my hopes with the whole issue align with Identity crisis (Kuron being lost and confused if/when it's revealed he's a clone.)
