This chapter is a perfect example of what good writing should be. You can feel the emotions that the characters feel, and I would be lying if I said C3PO's conversation with himself didn't bring a tear to my eye. Keep up the good work!

I went to read your Poe rant again, and your wordpress has been suspended. I'm a little sad now.
I've been doing a reread after Rise of Skywalker. Nothing they could have done would have lived up to this story for me, but what they gave us was especially disappointing.

Maybe it's the last name you gave the officer, but I have an image of Jonathan Frakes/Will Riker lecturing Kylo on formal wear after reading this chapter and the mix is hilarious. Especially since Kylo probably has about the same expression on his face in regards to the bits and pieces of a tux as my teen did when renting his prom one... My husband keeps asking what I'm giggling about as I read.

Oh poor R2 and 3PO! R2 was always an odd little droid, from what the prequels show of him pre-Luke, but I wonder if sweet little Anakin knew just how much his 'protocol droid to help mom' would hurt, seeing those he served leave him, would he have built him slightly differently. But as annoying as 3PO could be, I feel SO bad for him here. Immortality is painful when all you can do is watch all those you love leave you.

I also want to comment on your take on Leia in the last chapter; it makes so very much sense. She spent her whole life chasing an ideal that could never really come too reality. Decades of war take a toll on anyone, let alone someone who suffered the amount of loss she did. While her fear and loathing of the Dark is understandable (Palpatine, Vader, etc.) it is easy to see how that fear crippled her in a way. A soldier with no war left to fight; it's not easy to cope with.

Well, I'm now well in to the next story of this arc and having a blast doing so! I like that you're not shying away from all the issues, big and small, that come from changing a whole regime. Though I am giggling at the sources of all the rumors. While I always imagined things like the laundry and janitorial work being done completely by droids in the SW universe, the fact that Finn was in 'sanitation' makes sense for human laundry personnel and trash collectors. And whether we're talking rich peoples' servants or janitorial staff on a ship, it's easy for forget that those who do the clean up see the things you'd never expect and thus know many, many secrets.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of how Rey copes with a bunch of energetic little kids day after day. Off to read the next chapter!

Read the Canon novel bloodlines. It explains the where the senate was at with functionality when Leia decides to leave and create the resistance. Its a great read.

Ohmigod! What a ride! I LOVE your story so very dang much! I love the growth of the world, the politics, and of course Reylo : how Kylo matured into a great leader that sometimes still struggles and how Rey needed to learn her part in compromises and her development of the Maji.
And I love what you've done with Poe. His struggles of finding a place in the world and diving into the Maji before Finn... I really liked that a lot.
This is literally my favorite "wish-it-was cannon" fanfiction! I cannot wait for more!

:happy sigh: While I am going to miss your Wednesday and Sunday updates, this is the perfect conclusion to book 2 and a good pausing point while you continue working on book 3. Kylo's speech was inspiring, he has Leia's approval, and they can be together openly. I loved the parallels drawn between the scene in the destroyed throne room and this time when Kylo offered his hand. I wish so bad that the next Star Wars movie would actually do something similar with Kylo and Rey instead of most likely turning Kylo into the next Dark villain. Oh well, one can dream. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your effort and hard work on this story, and I can't wait until you start posting again!

Eeeeeks! Kylo proposed! Oh gosh, that scene was perfect! She's meeting him halfway in the balance and the universe will never be the same! Kinear and Ellie were awesome with their gentle tutelage and guidance, and Mirina has totally won me over! All those poor disappointed people with their dashed dreams of putting one of their own in position by Kylo's side. We finally got the party and the chapter was well worth the wait!

Oh this is s perfect end to this book! I am so happy they are together and they can now show their relationship to the world. I am so happy to see Kylo taking that step forward and giving Rey a kiss at the end of the story and the universe (me included) swooning over it.

Woman! You never fail to make me cry at the end of your stories!
