I think the reason Ron is dismissed is because he's 'just another weasley'

Not a quidditch star like Charlie
Not head boy like Percy/Bill
Not known for pranks like the twins.

I'm having such a hard time during this pandemic and being stuck home, fanfiction is one of the things getting me through it. I love how you wrote this. The build up and the reveal and URG I HATE UMBRIDGE AND I HATE WORMTAIL! I hope Sirius plays a bigger role in your fic later on as he comes to terms with the fact that someone he once considered his friend would do something like that to a child. Your stories evoke strong feelings and make lasting impressions. I was looking for Vanguard in my alerts and bookmarks the other day and couldn't find it. Then I saw the blurb for this story in a search for Ron-centric stories, and decided it sounded good. When I saw that it was you who had written Vanguard, that convinced me I should give this one a go.

I cried. Vanguard was gothic and chilling, but this story is less fantastic, and deals with a type of horror that exists just below the surface of society, only appearing sporadically when it spills over into the public light, but wreaking devastation each time. You included small details I appreciate. It is terrifying to be a woman sometimes, and exhausting to always have to think about safety from those physically stronger than yourself. It wasn't something I could truly appreciate as a teenager, but as an adult now, unfortunately I can. This story isn't just fanfiction, or an alternate version of the Harry Potter universe. It's something incredibly human. Thank you for writing it.

Please oh please give an update. I need something good to happen during all this world craziness going on.
