OMG I love it, it is beautifully written
The reasoning behind ron’ favorite quidditch team (never give up, cannons!)
His difficult relationship with the twins and the portrayal of the burrow’s inner working from rons perspective – the consequences of living in a family (with many siblings) where money is tight.
The wand, yes, there has been meta about it before: why does ron get a wand-hand-me-down but percy a new owl? Isn’t a wand a necessity for wizards and witches? Oh, I truly felt with him. Parents not acknowledging their broken promises and acting surprised over your reactions to another one before scolding you when you can’t swallow it any longer. Then there were the new discussions after the trivia about the wand woods and cores were posted on pottermore – rereading hp with this in mind made the deal even worse for ron. And having is own father judge him so wrong about his (wand) core – ouch.
I love his relationship with Luna here. It’s breathtakingly beautiful. Ron as a writer – as such a vivid writer that Luna immediately falls in love with his protagonist and can draw him just like ron imagined him. I won’t even try to attempt to unravel the meta behind hugo’s ability to travel through mirrors (of being a possible reflection of ron or the person he wants to be or admires … – the maybe connections to erased…) – it’s getting a bit late. Kudos for a little sirius mention!
What a way to visualize the damage the horcrux did to ron. I hope he wasn’t too upset that hermione read his book in his absence. Ron giving his childhood star an autograph not for being one part of the golden trio but for an achievement that is his, beautiful. I could really hear george and harry in that dialogue. It doesn’t happen often enough in post-DH-fics (I also don’t know why I am surprised that you are one of the few authors who characterizes the twins correctly and separately). A stuff spider really George? What a callback. What a great work! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it - so thank you for writing it!

This is beautiful. I felt my heart clench every time I read something and realised exactly where you were going with it, especially early on, with the wand and Percy's owl. The Cannons I didn't even see coming. I've never given any real thought to just why he loved that team so much, and your way of fleshing it out made it so very obvious.

I could go on. This was wonderful. Well done.

Omigosh! This was absolutely PERFECT! I've got tears in my eyes and a huge smile on my face and, oh! what a wonderful ending! It is so good to get to read about Ron being shown as a real person with flaws and talents everything in between, and not the awful cardboard cutout that so many fics make him. This whole story is utterly patronus-worthy! This is now at the top of my re-read often list. Outstanding and incredibly beautiful writing. Well done!

This is my favorite depiction of Ron I just love your stories I’ve been reading them for about 3 years now, maybe longer and it’s the best portrayal of Ron, he gets so much hate and your works are my absolute favorites they really showcase his best qualities his humor, loyalty, heart I just love this snapshot of Ron as a writer bc I can really see it.

I loved this story and this glimpse into Ron’s childhood. I enjoyed hearing about his feelings and that you have him a hidden talent. I feel like he gets under appreciated a lot in stories.

This story is so sweet and sad and yet also full of joy in the end. Young Ron never realized his own courage in learning acceptance in the face of disappointment. J.R.R. Tolkien once used the phrase "joy like swords". That is the kind of joy I had, reading this story.
