Guest chapter 1 . 3/20 Can't understand what's happening |
DragonLark chapter 17 . 2/29 This is odd on a level comparable to Sandman, and I'm loving it! Beautiful story mate! Have a Wonderful Wonderful day! |
Guest chapter 17 . 1/30 This is an excellent story! It can be a bit difficult to follow at times, but that's probably more my own fault for not paying attention as much as I probably should than anything on your end. I have issues concentrating. Such is life. Still the concept is extremely fascinating. I can't wait to read more! |
Guest chapter 16 . 11/29/2019 Greatly enjoyed the story. Hope to read more chapters |
ShittyWriting chapter 16 . 6/7/2019 Ah, this started up again. I didn't even notice. 'Tis nice, as always. You really do eldritch well. Not just "blah blah incomprehensible" or "tentacles everywhere", you give in-depth explanations while leaving out specific context, giving the impression of a system of facts that we can clearly see the beginnings of, but can't understand because we can't discern the rules. Off-handed mentions to firstborns, the elder tongue, the outer planes, even just the narration styles of Giratina and the Old Hunter are simply amazing for it all. Nice work. |
Guest chapter 15 . 5/25/2019 I was so hopeful Saturdays would resume and they have! Yay! I'm seriously enjoying the concept you seem to be laying out here, that Pokemon in general (and elder gods like giratina and fam especially) are just so stupid powerful that they have no concept of finesse or trickery. And so the hunter can turn their workings back on them, given half a chance, which is probably the only thing that will make her relevant in the core worlds, and is also extremely fitting with her characterization so far. One legged? Blind? Fast and skilled, but fairly weak by hunter standards? And now, her main weapon lies in countering other beings' absurd abilities. It's so fitting. I am very curious how you're going to resolve this situation when none of the present parties can communicate, and the hunter's win condition is being told the nightmare is clear. Plus, I'm now really excited for the moon presence to pull some shit, at some point in the future. Is she as tricky as her hunter? I'd guess so, considering she seems to be at least mildly unique in elevating lesser beings to murder her fellow great ones. I'm a liiiittle disappointed in the hunter's lack of arcane affinity, but I'm getting the impression that's going to be an area of growth for her over the course of this story, since she's away from the moon presence and messing around with other things. Or I'm just reading too much into too many separate instances? Hahaha! She's obviously not starting from 0 here, in any case. See ya next week! Hopefully! Maybe? I'll pray to the moon for it ;) |
Jack Kellar chapter 15 . 5/25/2019 Jeezus christ, MASSIVE kudos to the Old Hunter. Pokemon hold so much more existential weight here than him, a Rapidash practically crippled him, and yet here he is holding the line against a legendary, not just that but the progeny of his gods' god - granted, with a Darkrai tag teaming Palkia, but he is putting in an insane amount of work. The pocket monsters may be far stronger, but he is fucking hardcore. |
Hunter of Entities chapter 15 . 5/25/2019 language barriers are a sonvabitch, even if you understand about half of what you are being told |
Guest chapter 14 . 5/20/2019 YESSSSSSS You'RE BACCCKK |
Axccel chapter 14 . 5/20/2019 Someone is going to get its ass kicked by the Hunter. |
Jack Kellar chapter 14 . 5/18/2019 I am exceptionally happy that we get more eldritch narrative to lose ourselves into without trying to picture too hard. This is such good stuff. This is a prenounce of trouble, but as Giratina is just one POV, it's not clear HOW MUCH trouble it is for the lesser beings. Fingers crossed that it all works out without the Hunter dying from a Pichu's Nuzzle, he is horrendously messed up right now. |
Jack Kellar chapter 13 . 4/26/2019 It's not been THAT long since tye last update, so I'm hoping this gets dontinued. This story is exceptional, confused me at first but after I learned to think like The Hunter and the Old Ones like Giratinw and how they perceive existence, I felt surprisingly zen. Few stories, especially ones with so little dialogue to establish the worldbuilding, manage to get a reaction of this caliber out of me. |
jordanlink7856 chapter 13 . 1/27/2019 "Musty light falls through the grate above, filling in a barred rectangle near 000's feet.I blurred out the name... To fill in the typo in my essay of a review. This might be considered spam at this point, sorry lol |
jordanlink7856 chapter 13 . 1/27/2019 "Musty light falls through the grate above, filling in a barred rectangle nears feet.I blurred out the name as it might spoil just a tad bit I feel, but that's just me) That description right there is beautiful. Little things like that make it show how hard a writer's worked on their story, experience or not. I honestly love what you've done, taking in so many aspects and elements from both franchises and seamlessly entangling them into the vague mess that Bloodborne is known for. It's that vague mess that keeps you going; that makes you want to find out what's going on. Vague mess might not be the best phrase I could be going for, but it really does fracture well with the PoVs. There's also a lot to love with the little insights and generous applications of... realism in the Pokémon side of things. History, type stereotypes (lol), the wonderful little splash they make to the backdrop of a scene, and not to mention the simple logic that's added to the Pokémon. I love fics that do that, taking in what's been established in Pokémon and adding on top of it in a way that just makes sense and makes it much more serious, but also fluid and fitting. There's also the PoVs. You hit these so damn well! I love seeing how spot on they are with characters I do know how they view things and how that changes the actual text of their chapter. I thought it would just stick to how it was written as with the PoV of Flora and Giratina, but damn. I'm not the best reviewer (Vague Mess isn't really a good phrase to add to a review that's meant to flatter the writer) but I did want to put a bit of soul into this review because I can't help but appreciate how well written this is! Keep up the fantastic work, hope this helps you get along if you're feeling down, and I hope to see more! |
jordanlink7856 chapter 7 . 1/27/2019 Ok, not a little cameo. I really like this fic. |
