Reviews for Godzilla l Marvel Saga: Book 2: AFTERMATH ANTHOLOGY
Guest chapter 8 . 2/27
This story and it's prequel is honestly my favorite crossover on this site as well as spacebattles.
zero saber chapter 7 . 2/11
omg new agent gigan chapter this saved my day.
GojiGrimlockSaurus chapter 7 . 1/28
As a certain eyepatch-wearing scientist would quote in response to this chapter, in particular, following the argument between Hank Pym and Tony Stark vs. Nick Fury about the ethics of controlling a Kaiju, a god-like monster humanity has no understanding of, much less an extraterrestrial cyborg type of Kaiju with technology beyond human advancements...

"Of course, they'll want to use it as a weapon. Bombs versus bombs. Missiles versus missiles, and now a superweapon to throw upon us all..."

While I can understand where Nick Fury is coming from and I agree with him about maintaining peace through a show of strength when done right, especially against extraterrestrial threats; however, Pym and Stark brought up a valid point when it comes to potential escalation. No matter how you look at it, Gigan, even Kiryu AKA Mechagodzilla to an extent, is a gigantic leap forward into major escalation, both literally and figuratively, on many levels.

When it comes to Kaiju/Titans, a lot of things involving them tend to go destructively wrong with many people ending up injured and/or dead. Trying to turn the Titans into mere instruments of national defense and war is the worst offender of that trope, especially Gigan now that he is the center of contention between various factions that have agendas for him, ranging from somewhat understandably noble to questionably devious. Nick Fury is on the somewhat noble end of the spectrum with the others in between as they probably are sitting on the fence while some like Hydra are in the more devious end. Still, I have to criticize Nick for being too ambitious and overbearing in his attempts to control Gigan on a virtual leash. Doctor Octopus would be deserving of similar criticism as well because both don't want to lose control of their biggest asset, albeit for different reasons.

Regardless of the motivations, having Gigan in SHIELD's arsenal is quite the gamechanger for the military organization. I just hope the conflict doesn't spiral out of control that could cripple SHIELD even further than they could handle in the state they're currently in after the Kaiju Invasion. Because one way or another, all hell is going to break loose.

And that's not even mentioning when Gigan might go berserk the second time; once again, bypassing all of the parameters Doctor Octavius had meticulously worked so hard to set up under Fury's orders.
ultron emperor chapter 7 . 1/28
Only crap, if Ghidorah is still alive and doesn't need a body...they could fight with anime ghidorah. Or worst...KEVIN GHIDORAH!
Guest chapter 5 . 5/18/2019
Another great chapter
GojiGrimlockSaurus chapter 4 . 11/12/2018
I love the interesting parallels between this chapter and the source material that it was heavily inspired from, Godzilla vs. Biollante. Both have scientists genuinely interested in the advancement of science, and have inadvertently caused destruction and terror to rain upon the people they cared about in their process of creating Biollante. Tampering with nature by terms of double whammy in misusing the Godzilla cells to mutate an innocent life form into something else, which is pretty ironic considering the Beast is mutated himself. The mutated rose has developed some psychic connection with another psychic being like Miki Saegusa or Jean Grey. Then there are the Islamic/Arabian troublemakers, which have disrupted the protagonists' lives with a nefarious agenda in mind for them.

The major difference, apart from the obvious one, that one professor is a mutant while the other is human, are the motivations of the "mad" scientists. Dr. Shiragami (the human professor) from Godzilla vs. Biollante, merged Godzilla cells with the rose, creating Biollante out of grief for his dead daughter. Beast's motivation for creating Biollante was more out of scientific curiosity and his desire to learn the healing capabilities of Godzilla's cells gone wrong. Personally, I'd find Mr. Shiragami's motivation to be more tragic and compelling than Beast's because it touches the parts of our humanity that does not want to see a father broken because of being separated from his child forever. That's heartbreaking to reconcile.

Though, I wouldn't count out Beast's story yet for the potential tragedy because countless stories of tampering with nature and trying to play God often don't end well for anyone involved. So, I am having my fingers crossed with the anticipation of what's to come while hoping that Hank won't inadvertently cause the people closest to him to die or suffer gravely for his mistakes. The X-Men had already been through a lot with the Spacegodzilla crisis.
Kaibutsu-Shin chapter 4 . 11/12/2018
For 20,000 years, it has laid dormant. Only now to ascend from its slumber to produce a new chapter for this story.

RRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSEEEEEEE! MAGNIFICENT MACHINE!

Anyway, this chapter was great, but I don't get why the terrorist guys were speaking English when earlier they were chanting Arabic(I think?)?
Kaibutsu-Shin chapter 3 . 8/29/2018
This has been rather interesting. Little G is essentially a Dino Slasher Villain. Except now he's hunting Hunky Amerrykan men, wacky Nazis, with a small appetizer of bite-sized Jap.

And I can't help but be amused of how we use the term Theater to dub which part of the war we're fighting. As if war was some sort of play or film instead of a horrific battle.

Can't wait to see the next chapter!
ultron emperor chapter 2 . 7/27/2018
This story is Amazing ! Gigan is so OP and his psicology is really well done.
I hope that, one day, you will use also Destoroyah, the most powerfull villain of the Godzilla-Universe.
Zero x saber chapter 2 . 5/30/2018
ah what a fun read i love the agent gigan vibe i get from this and throwing in the gigan/ megalon greeting was a brilliant touch of charecter on your part. pleas dont let magneto kill gigan he realy doesn't deserve such a beating.
Matt chapter 2 . 4/30/2018
Nice chapter, though I noticed you seemed to forget about a few of your earlier works while checking the stories you've made. So maybe you should update one of those next? Like the Godzilla one that hasn't been updated since 2016.
Kaibutsu-Shin chapter 2 . 4/30/2018
Took me some time to read the chapters. But I'm intrigued with what I see so far, the battle of wills between Gigan's Progamming and his biological conscious was admittedly rather poignant. And with all of Octavius' talk about guiding instead of controlling Gigan with an iron fist, he hasn't really put much of it into practice. And we also have a cameo with Magneto at the end, I wonder what he intends to do with Gig-anus?

Also, what was GigityGigan trying to pull with the Sentinels? I can't help but think he was doing the Godzilla Victory Dance from Astro Monster which in all honesty, would be hilarious.
Anon87 chapter 1 . 4/27/2018
Very interesting! I stumbled on Book 1 earlier today and have just finished reading through it and now this. A very compelling story with a good mix of characters and interesting plot development, I can't wait for more!

I'm particularly pleased Agent Marion's in it, always a favourite character of mine and you've got the deviousness down to a tee ;)
Omegashark18 chapter 1 . 3/12/2018
And so it begins, the next start in the saga. :D
