Ed's "depression crash" is something I actually have personal experience with, and you described it and the head space it causes pretty well.

First time it happened to me, I wasn't able to be brought out of it for 3 days, and was barely able to be coaxed into drinking water. My family was ready to take me to the hospital when I snapped out of it after having a dream where my grandfather (who had died the night before the crash - that was the trigger) came to me and threatened to tan my hide if I joined him too soon. Needless to say, I woke up, got up, and got something to eat.
Second time lasted a day and a half and had been what made me realize, "Oh, I have PTSD I've been powering through so stubbornly NO ONE NOTICED" and made an appointment with a counselor as soon as they opened the next Monday. I snapped out of that one on my own, large because of that aforementioned stubbornness.

I've really enjoyed all of these stories (CA, SH, and FoW). I've actually reread Catalyst Array twice and am going to probably read it again before moving on to FoWD. I've never played any of the Final Fantasy games, but I do know some about them from watching friends play and Kingdom Hearts. So I can't really comment on that, other than I feel like you did a good job of making it accessible to people who don't know anything about it.

I really enjoyed your characterization of Edward throughout this series. I feel like too many other authors focus on his trigger anger issues revoling around his height. Thre are so many other things to explore, and it was fun to see his other traits at the forefront.

The whole series is quite the adventure. And I really enjoyed how much FoW and SH mirrored each other while still being unique. I also really enjoyed the way you incorporated alchemy with the materia. And parallels between fiends and the gaian monsters was really well done.

Overall I think this might be one of my favorite FMA crossovers. I'll definitely be reading them all again someday :)

I'm so sorry for not reviewing earlier! World went crazy, honestly, and I have a lot going on.

I like how this ended, honestly. While not the stereotypical 'happy ending', I actually prefer 'life going on' and there being trouble in the works. Makes it more real. I also agree that Ed might choose to stay for a while as a watchdog but would move on after a decade or three just to be certain of things before going. And with Trisha being so much like him, who knows? She might be his reincarnation. Or genetics breed true even centuries later.

On another note, I wonder if Al ever attempted to come to this timeline only to either be turned away by the Gate or chose willingly to stay? We the readers, of course, never know as Ed doesn't, but I'm cool with that.

Nice seeing this one wrap up ,just got around to reading this since my email was backed up lately...plus I had found a REALLY good fic on sufficient velocity that I basically steamrolled through. Have to admit,creative use of the Moonflow.

Sidenote...FFX had potential for some weird hybrids... we got Yuna and Seymour..Al Bhed and Guada hybrids...and now im imagining a Hypello hybrid thanks to this chapter. A bit surprised we never got a Ronso Hybrid in either game...

Also..I recall the 3 music players from the game were a Bird,Frog,and ...mouse...seriously..what races WERE those three and why did we never see more of them? Way to leave us hanging developers...

Swriously though Kingdom Hearts 3 had some amazing battle scenes where magic like Stopga was used in the cutscenes! Also never though to use a compressed gravity type spell to capture a weapon just infront of someones hand.

Another thought just occured...if Minerva landed on a world like Spira that already has a Will of the Planet, it wouldn’t even need to spread the lifestream completely. It would just need to hope the planet it lands on is willing to tolerate her presence and offered additions. This opens even more possible planets.

Incidentally,did you ever consider Final Fantasy:Spirit Within as a planet option? Ha,imagine on entry to the planet if she accidentally sent the Zeus Satelite flying into deep space due to a flyby hit and run. lol and unlike those guys,the FF7 crew could probally actually be effective against ghosts due to Magic.

Also, kind of wonder what could be done with FFXV (the Star scourge being a virus born of their creation goddess,the hints Ifrit was possibly good and Bahamut the real bad guy...oh geez...theorists have picked this games plot apart to the roots to find the hidden history of the game. Frankly sad we didn’t get that final set of expansions. FFXV will always be an incomplete game now.

Loving how things have went since omega traveled...you realize how much potential the Omega Travel plot has for numerous alternative crossovers...right? Even using canon Final Fantasy and eventually doing an Omega Travel has potential in a way...

Fun fact: the Adamantoise is an actual monster form Final Fantasy III, where they appear in the Lava caves early-mid game. This one is far larger and seems a lot more deadly though.

Well fu-! They all missed the worst possible enemy of all. A desperate power hungry man who can see his power stripped from him that has the power to blow the world to the promise land and back. All the lives in the slums and all those about to lose there town or power to their town are in big trouble. I feel this will spark true chaos. Also did Edward make an esper? Can’t wait to see what happens next.
