THIS IS WHAT NEEDED TO HAPPEN IN SEASON 2.

It's was so radically different from the real thing that I don't even see Jessica as the same person (not that she's super famous or anything, but I'll never be able to watch anything with that actress). The Jessica that we were unfortunately acquainted with would never behave this well and help Wyatt realize what he feels for Lucy. I chose to picture this Jessica as the nice girl in the picture from season 1.

Ever gonna come back to this story? Lucy has to be his next stop, right?

That thing he knows he has to do? Sure as hell better be Lucy.

Not that I loved Wyatt going back to Jessica in S2, but holy crap, if he had been this indecisive and purposefully denying his Lucy-feelings while still spending time with her, I'd have punched my TV.

I'm so mad we didn't get adorableness like this on the show. I know Jessica was always going to come back, but jeez, they couldn't have given them ONE episode in which to be cute and flirty and adorable and snuggly? Bah.

I'm also mad that you didn't have them kiss here :P

...because Lucy. Yes, Wyatt. Because Lucy. She loves you, and you know it. And you love her, but you're still in denial, no matter how much your brain and the rest of the world is trying to drag you kicking and screaming towards that realization. Unless, of course, that last sentence means you're running to Lucy...

Ok, he needs to just acknowledge the issue already. He's not upset about Jessica because he's in love with Lucy. Durrr... No more of this thinking about trying to get her back or to be with her at all. We all know that's nonsense. He needs to catch up with everyone else.

Ah, Jiya. Genius. I think all versions of Lucy and Wyatt need to get laid (um, together, to be specific, since obviously Wyatt went rogue this season, gah), so I totally support her saying that.

And random - Wyatt saying "an'" instead of "and"? I can totally hear him speaking that sentence. Nice touch :)

Heh. "Friends." Riiiight.

Nice to see AC being so supportive/helpful. I like that she really did grow to be a mother hen to all of them, complete with the nervous knitting. I'll be interested to see what Wyatt finds in this file...

Love the story! And how Wyatt figures out his relationship with his Jess and his new love for Lucy!

Your take on Jessica is beautiful. The dialogue between her and Wyatt made me smile and giggle. I'm very much still loving this story.

I already did those other things so I'm going to review too. This is so good. I like this version of Jessica, still too early for an opinion of her on the show. I'm hoping your version becomes Canon but have my doubts. This is a great story, thank you for writing!

Ahh I love Jess being pro-Lyatt and teasing Wyatt about it!

I had a feeling he’d had to make to this trip before anything else could happen... Finally! A sense of “rightness” for Wyatt! Lawdddd how I wish the show would have chosen a less brutal route like you did... although I suppose Jess being so set on divorce that she’d already signed the papers should help set certain things in motion later on for us, but I digress. Glad he could unburden himself and get more closure!

Dang it all, as much as I'm enjoying the whole story, THIS is the chapter I didn't even know I was waiting for. I loved it! This kind of encouragement, validation, really, is just what our stubborn soldier needed to hear. PLEASE say a future chapter (maybe epilogue?) will be Lucy and Jessica having a conversation, pretty please? *pleading puppy dog eyes*
