Firstly- sorry it has taken me so long to read this! I was so excited when I saw it had been posted! and it was a lovely Surprise just like the chapter title suggest!

I love this chapter- bar the opener, this is my fav! I love the flashback like scene you did with the party for Kara, it was so nice to look deeper into her relationship with Alex and Maggie in a none life threatening situation you know? To see them happy and just having fun and being happy for each other was lovely. The scene was so funny and as well!

It's really nice to see how Lena has almost effortlessly fit into their little group and got to know Kara so well even though they haven't known each other for long. All you need to know to see that is the Doughnut pile- that speaks volumes.

I liked the way you showed us Lena's thought process while Kara was cuddling up to her, and the way you wrote it was perfect because of course Kara would be clueless- she and Lena are getting really close and to her that means more cuddles, she would have no idea how it made Lena feel! And Lena- silly girl, of course she isn't JUST KARA, all can see that a mile off! haha!

It was nice to see the roles reversed a little again and see Lena being the supportive shoulder for Kara in this one, and I loved the way Lena could pick up on so instantly that Kara wasn't her usual self- those Supercorp feels are bubbling already!

Kara's reaction when she found out Lena would be her new boss was priceless- I think they should have done it that way in the show it would have been so much better!

Yes not that Lena has brought CatCo, we are getting closer to something I hope for and am sooooo excited for!... hint hint...nudge nudge... hehe, love the inclusion of Sam and those little foreshadowing hints you gave there too.

The hand shake being strong and the hand being warm- all things that will add up slowly I take it... you clever thing you!

Ohhh, I like your story here! It is an interesting idea and I just love it. I can already see the spark between them. Love the interaction they are having. The health insurance part was funny. I am looking forward to more.

Haha you should have called this chapter Lena F-ing Luthor! That cracked me up so much! That while little part was brilliant and so Kara I love it!

Poor Lena is having it tough at the moment she is really hard on herself, but that is understandable. With Lillian as a mother I can guess she probably got blamed when things went wrong that weren't even her fault when younger :(

I really liked your scene with Jess and Kara, nice to see that they are both looking out for Lena and they are slowly building a kinda friendship there too, hope to see some more like that in the future.

I like tie in you used with the flowers reminding Kara of her mother and I think in the future that would be something cool for you to revisit when maybe Kara needs Lena to save her from her own dark thoughts like Kara is doing for her now. Lena is her hero after all!

I wonder when and if Lena will find out about Kara being Supergirl, it would be awesome to tie in the episode Luthors to that moment I always thought they should have told her then in the show. Have Kara say that "Kara Danvers believe in you" and Lena respond with "I know you do" pointed look, haha or something like that!

I loved this chapter though, lots of KarLena interaction and some slight humour, I cant wait to see how the movie night goes :) post more soon please!

I just read your story, and I just enjoy your story so far ! I really love it very much, can't wait to discover more ! It's really well written, the storyline is so great, Kara and Lena are so cute together ! The relationship between Alex and Maggie is really so lovely as well ! Can't wait to read anothers chapters, so see you soon !

Woahhhh you were right there was some angst in this one but it was so well written and worked so well!

I loved the scene between Lena and Cat it was brilliant and made me chuckle, very on point with the characters and dialogue there!

And Lena demanding Kara be the reporter to attend from Catco when she isn't even a reporter just to make sure that Kara could attend is priceless and sooo Lena!

That conference was so tense though, thank god Kara was able to get out and change into her Supergirl getup! I was worried for both Lena and Maggie there for a moment! The way you had Supergirl talk the father down reminded me if the Human for a day robbery scene, really nicely done!

That ending though, poor Lena I felt so bad for her, she so badly needs a Kara Danvers hug but just doesn't know how to ask! Hopefully they will get closer and closer soon and they can spend more time together!

This was a great chapter, a good mix of action to thoughts and so on and really nicely put together!

Can't wait for more :)
