It continue to amaze me how well you write scenes like this. Poignant, loving, with a touch of whimsy and yes, the seemingly obligatory angst as well! (Although given Astrid physical characteristics a long and rough delivery would certainly be possible if not likely.)

Yet another reminder that there will be no more movies with Toothless being adorable and flying with his best friend. Should probably not be reading stuff that makes me depressed right before going to bed, but I just can't help myself.
But even though this makes me sad, it is really good and I am glad that you wrote it.

SoMeOnEnEw8: Please learn to read. The first thing visible in the chapter is "AU - probably medieval-like setting". An author shouldn't have to *title* a chapter as an AU as well as put a note in the chapter at the very beginning just because you're incapable of taking half-a-second to read the note they left. Which it's obvious you didn't read it, because of your comment. So, yes. Please learn to read.
