Truly a romance story. Truly enjoyable. I have been lucky enough to find some Timeless fanfics recently that are just really well written, and have some character insights that have made me feel like I know the characters better, and I feel fit really well with the timeline. This story, which is so obviously AU, still makes me feel as if the characters fit what I think they would be like from watching the series. I have found that I enjoy the AU versions somewhat better than the canon, continuation, or between the scenes stories. This story is unique, but has characters that I can relate to, and it allows a closer connection. It continues to be well written, with minimal obvious errors. The writing is descriptive, flows really well, and has a wonderful plot. The character choices and events are ones that the readers can agree with, and the development of the story line makes sense. There is just enough romance to make it a romance, but it is not sappy. The other emotions involved help this to tug on the heartstrings and keep you on edge (fear, anxiety, self doubt, personal growth, anger, the sibling bond, friendship). You are talented enough to convey the personalities through characters actions and thoughts, which are imbedded into the story in such a way that they do not become overwhelming or boring. You also convey motivations superbly. This is definitely a story in which the reader can become involved and lost. I will now continue to read your "longer than 5 chapters" story (which I can because I found it when you had written 33 chapters!) and let you know what I think a little later down the line.

Wow. If that was your first . . . Just wow!

First thought: organized, easy to read, and well written (grammatically correct with no blatant errors, sentence structures flow with effective transitions, and word choices grab and keep the readers attention).

“He loved that laugh. He had never heard it before, but he wanted to hear it again.” This line caught my attention. I am not sure what about it first grabbed me and made me smile (I think it would have in any romantic writing), but as I thought of this quote, I realized we (watchers, purveyors, fans) did not get to see Lucy truly happy or hear her laugh too often in the series. The first episode introduces us to what could be considered pure joy, Lucy’s love history, when Lucy first travels to the past and is mesmerized by the cars and people of the era (so well portrayed by Abigail Spencer). This line about loving her laugh takes me back to that first glimpse of so few moments of happiness, and then immediately I am transported to Season 2, Episode 2, Darlington, when Lucy is laughing in the back seat after the time team successfully evades the police in a high speed chase, where they didn’t blow up even though they most probably “hit a few bugs.” My thought - I know why he loved that laugh.

Lucy didn’t quit the band, and she still loved history! “I’m more of a history nerd.” Can you actually quit history once it has you (even if your parent forced you into it)?

The paragraph about how Dave and Celia came back together and the following paragraph where Wyatt reminisces and expresses some envy over Dave and Celia’s successful union really hit close to home for me. The line “Whereas Dave and Celia separated and had time to figure out who they were before coming back together.” expresses a concern I have with my son. He and his girlfriend met and began “dating” in eighth grade (13 years of age). They began college, together, this past year at the state college near where we live. I had encouraged my son to begin university straight away, which did not occur, but am very glad it looks as if they will be attending separate universities this upcoming fall. I believe they need the time apart to grow and discover who they are apart, independent of each other, and find their own interests. It is of my opinion that this apart will either break them or cement their relationship. She’s great, so I’ Not sure for which situation I am hoping. I never expected to find such a personal connection in a fanfiction story, but am so glad to have done so. The fact that you were able to so adequately express my thoughts and convey my emotions does not st all make me envious.

The feelings among these friends is very well demonstrated through your word choice. Their close bonds are expressed through their interactions with each other, and you introduce background information seamlessly. You allude to the relationship difficulties Lucy has with her mother, and the nefarious connection with Noah is superbly introduced. The relationship Lucy has with Celia is implied to have helped Lucy to attain her independence from an overbearing and controlling mother, and appears to be pivotal in Lucy finding love and purpose in her future.

I am finally done with this massively impressive piece of literature. My goodness, I just loved and didnt expect that twist that mirrored canon in the end. Wow! I truly enjoyed reading this. Thank you for sharing

Well this fic is definitely a pleasant surprise. I love how their personalities are so direct. The angst is just right too, not excessive. I just love this.

My dear, you know how much I have loved this fic. I love Sassy Lucy Preston who followed a separate path to the one carved out for her. I loved Puppy Wyatt Logan who knew exactly what he wanted from the start. Rufus and Jiya still being the badasses they always are. It was honestly a joy and a privilege to read this story.

I remember when I started reading this and you had taken a bit of a break on it. I’m so glad you brought it back and finished it in this way. I still have it open on my phone as a tab and reread it regularly. It is a fic held close to my heart. Thank you thank you thank you for always gracing us with such beautifully crafted stories.

of their worlds, no moment is missed but not all these moments are shared with the characters so of course Lucy is going to be haunted by that, she didn’t know he was safe until like 10 hours ago. It always blows my mind when I shift my perspective into the character rather than the reader. Love how you write their turmoil.

Flynn talking through his backstory will never not hit down deep, like what a shit hand he got dealt for no reason. I really find it interesting that he remembers an alt timeline, and Lucy is just like “what crack are you smoking pal.” Love that interaction of foes between them.
