Is it Kiba anchoring himself to Sasuke's name? Or the name anchoring him to a world? Because I feel like Kiba is trying but in a way not truly accepting his place in that world he is in (he's getting better?)... I'm not even sure what I was trying to say anymore, it sounded way more coherent inside my head lol

But really? THAT CLIFFHANGER will they just leave him? I know that Sasuke is probably still alive and it was Haku that did something,, does Sasuke even know how much pain he's causing Kiba like sheesh

God this is such an interesting twist on the SI/OC concept? Like the idea of Kiba not really being at all in that world? And I like your character so much, she's so funny, in a sad way-Schrodinger's Kiba, the awkwardness of trying to make small talk, that one of her first reactions to the soulmate thing is "Oh shit Ino." And, of course, Sasuke is a huge dick, not wanting to be weak but not wanting to be rejected by his soulmate-allowing Kiba to be more "real" is one thing, but I still feel like he got the short end of the stick here. I just love love love your characterization. Especially Tsume. She's such a great mom. Thank you! I look forward to your next update.

This is absolutely fantastic. Wow, i never expected the soulmate aspect to play into this so well. You have done an excellent job describing team 8’s awkwardness. I can’t wait to see them all bond. But, the bond is BROKEN! Will it rebound them when Sasuke comes back alive? Or is it permanently broken now? I just know this is going to mess our boys up BAD. I’m really hoping team 8 realizes that Kiba has disappeared and help him. I also wonder if they’ll still be able to see him now. When he was a baby they could kind of sense him, so will he be back to that level or will he be a complete ghost now? I’m excited to find out. Thanks for the great read. While I really like the story I can’t ignore my confusion over the time. In one chapter you wrote sasuke was gone from the academy for at least three weeks, but then that returned there a few days after the massacre. In another (when Kiba went on his nightly visit) you wrote the blood from the massacre were seven years old, while that much time hadn’t passed. Then with team eight, you wrote they hadn’t begun really talking even though they’d been a team for over a month, but then says they’ve only been on a team for a couple weeks. There are several other instances of this and it disrupts the reading experience and the sense of time immensely. And that’s not mentioning the sentences that are impossible to understand here and there as well as the incomplete ones.

i didnt read this update for the longest time bc i knew id get obsessed and call me a prophet or just very self aware BUT HERE I AMMMMM OMG the IMPLICATIONS... kiba as someone who doesnt belong grounded only into reality by his soulmate...
