Great
Razogoth chapter 10 . 2/18/2019
Very well written story, I enjoyed reading it.
lifeisshitt chapter 10 . 1/3/2019
This story was original and well written and I remember enjoying it a lot. I'd be glad to read anything else you write and feel like this story is told, so glad it won't be a sort of directly related continuation.
Glasses Wearing Nerd chapter 10 . 1/2/2019
I am in the process of reading the comic for life is strange and I fear that the ending is gonna be that nothing matters and chloe HAS to die. Which is shit of course; why is that the ONLY option! I really wish that the original story could end like this I loved every goddamn moment of this story and I thought Jane was an excellent addition to a throwaway and character. You are an excellent writer and storyteller. I look forward to your future works.
Blackadder261 chapter 10 . 1/1/2019
I love it. The Epilogue just ties everything up so beautifully. So, Max never *really* loses contact with Chloe, she goes to Washington State Uni, Mark gets caught anyway and Victoria becomes nice. Awesome! Love that her alternate memories are erased as she destroys one of the final artefacts linking the realities, regarding him and his photography.

I can't wait to see these two other stories! Ciao!

A really beautiful story.
You have created a perfect sequel, inserting a really well done villain and making wise use of the material offered to us by Before The Storm.
Max's emotions are well described, and the dialogues well done.
I can not wait to read the next chapter, and you did well to end with the phrase "The beginning".
Congratulations and see you soon, from an Italian fan.
The Unknown ShiniGami chapter 9 . 6/3/2018
Too bad I can't send a sound review cause this whole thing deserves a grandstanding applause.
Blackadder261 chapter 9 . 6/3/2018
Now that... That was a fitting end to someone like Jane. Also, I love that Max has basically rewritten the timelines in such a way to make everything work as it should. That final scene up on the cliff was really something too. Brilliantly done.
BenRG chapter 8 . 5/30/2018
Max now has a whole multiverse to gather her tools, hone her powers, find her weapons and find the spot where she needs to set her lever. More importantly, Jane is limited in how she can pursue her and has no idea just how vast Max's ambition for Time has become.

I really do wonder if Max will seize control of Rachel's powers and integrate them into her own.
BenRG chapter 7 . 5/30/2018
A final warning to Jane Caulfield: Beware of the weapon you create to get your own way. It's just possible that it may be turned against you. She's made Max so much more powerful and I'm wondering if she knows just HOW powerful and just how stupidly desperate Max can get.
BenRG chapter 6 . 5/30/2018
You know, Max, I can't help wonder if Jane even entirely exists anymore or whether you're going to end up trapped right alongside her.

Still, this confirms that what Jane suspected may be true - The death of her aunt is one of the junction-points of Arcadia Bay's history. Like most significant junction-points, in isolation it is trivial enough that most people would never notice it.
BenRG chapter 5 . 5/30/2018
Yeah, I'm definitely getting the feeling that Jane is Max's anti-self in many ways. Of course, after 1000 years, she's gone mad and is grasping at straws but I can't see any version of Max being capable of cold-blooded murder.

We also see that there is definitely some kind of aspected avatar thing going on here. The fact Max was able to, no matter how briefly, control the Storm strongly suggests that something is going on.

I wonder if, the next time Max looks at herself in the mirror, she'll see she's wearing a metal choker with a green and a purple glowing gemstone in it... and four empty spaces for others?
BenRG chapter 4 . 5/30/2018
It's interesting; if Max's area of influence is Time, maybe Rachel's is Power. Could there be Mind, Soul, Time and Reality manipulators too?
BenRG chapter 3 . 5/30/2018
I've always thought that Max's problem is that she's trying to change just one outcome and letting all else spiral out of control around her. What she needs to do is to find a lever point where she can alter just a narrow group of destinies - specifically to prevent Mark Jefferson from ever coming to Arcadia Bay whilst STILL ensuring that everything else is undisturbed. The best option is to identify an alternative (non-psycho) photography teacher that would tickle Sean Prescott's ego and get them selected in place of Jefferson (poisoning his food so he screws up the interview in a big way would be enough).

Stopping Jefferson entirely is something for later - maybe giving the necessary police departments in other towns anonymous tip-offs about where to look for clues on missing girls. Only minimal time-jumps would be needed for that, optimistically none at all.
BenRG chapter 2 . 5/30/2018
I'm wondering if the balance point is the Daughter of Ryan Caulfield. Maybe all of Jane's interventions combined with Max's have created an imbalance and it only takes a little more energy to create an 'immunity' effect with nature trying to destroy the source of the paradox.

Alternately, maybe Steph is right and saving Rachel is somehow the key.
