I did not expect Ezra to win, but I am glad he did. The victor pair did come out as a surprise, but I like surprises. I was pretty sure Akhal was the female victor, but I got the male wrong, it was not Niko nor Frederic.
Very nice final chapter. Nice that you elaborated the years after the wedding. It is a very neat detail that Ezra could never really love his wife, but he did love their children. It is a quality I also made Invidia possesses, and it is nice to see it in Ezra.
I have a question: did Opal Arlington volunteer or was she reaped?

It all happened very fast, but I am glad these games are wrapping up.
Out of the five possible victor candidates, I think Frederic feels like a rather hinted at choice. The female victor is probably Akhal. It could be possible for Niko to be the male victor, but I think Frederic felt like he had more set up since Capitol. I would be very fine with Ezra or Invidia winning, but I don't think that will be the case. So my guess is Frederic and Akhal.

Ooh it’s getting good,I’m not sure how Violet and Ezra will work together but I hope violet is not betrayed, I wasn’t surprised that Paisley went so quick, she went how a typical career goes, Cocky until the end. Ezra will certainly keep on avenging, I like how June and Mikeo are working together, it’s nice and exciting. Fredrick is becoming a contender, like I’d presume he was and poor Althea, it would’ve been easy to give her Allies up but she didn’t do props. Great chapter overall!

Woah! Some shockers here! I guess I did assume Paisley would die over Ezra, which may be a good thing. In general, I think Ezra will ultimately be more likable. I’m really excited to get down to business and see what happens to the rest of the characters. I have my ideas of who is going to be in the final tribute, so I’m excited to see where it goes. Ezra and Violet should be an interesting pair, considering both of their mentalities!

I really did not expect another event and a pair of deaths so soon. And I really would not have expected that they would just execute two tributes via peacekeepers.
The third thing I did not expect was Linden dying. He felt like a guy who would survive at least over half way games. It even was not really his fault (well angering the Head Gamemaker was).
So a new pair is formed. Getting your partner killed is actually a really bad thing, all that pre-game work will just go down the drain. Also bonding with someone who is assigned to you as a replacement in these conditions must be hard. Pairs that were together from the get-go have a pretty good advantage.

Ezra and Paisley are an interesting couple, but the power dynamic between them could have problems in the future. They both want power and each other, and eventually one may have to be given up to gain the other.

Frederick and Akhal would be interesting, and Akhal seems pretty apologetic about her choice of staying with Nicholas. Maybe if something happens in the arena, something will change.

I like how Gary's making light of the tension-filled situation. He's one of the characters I like most. I hope he shows up more in future scenes.

June and Mikeo were getting along so well and then the bed situation happened.

Poor Althea, paired with Frederick. They definitely won't get along well, and the moment they can I can imagine them going for each others' throats. I guess how they are already.

Mikeo and June will have a great friendship, I can already see it. It may be enough to get them through the games even. We'll see!

Gary and Cerulean are so cute! I can see them being a great friendship or even more in the future. Their trust in each other could get them far. Once Cerulean toughens up they have a good chance!
