Azula is obviously OOC in this but sometimes that's good. Her interactions with the gaang makes me really happy. I wish canon was like that, where she was friends and had good relationship with them

Great story! I like the Zuko/Katara and Azula/Sokka pairings. I always hated the ending they had for Azula in the canon. But even moreso, I always thought the Canon Aang/Katara pairing was creepy. Call me old fashioned but an 11 year old boy shouldn't be trying to hookup with 15 to 16 year old girl. Also, the story started a little rough but after a one or two chapters it really picked up. I really liked the friendship between Katara and Azula. Again, great story!

This is a really good story. I really like what you have done. I also can't wait for more on the Mai storyline. I kinda wish you would have done The Boiling Rock instead of having Zuko and Sokka tell them about it,

I feel like there was a bit of a wasted opportunity here. In the show, the play episode had three purposes. The first was to recap the show, but you don't need that for this fic. The second was to show Aangs feelings for Katara and his confusion, which you did very well actually. But the third, and probably most important, was to flesh out some of Zuko' s fears and doubts. The reason that the play ended with his death in the T.V. series was to show that even though Zuko had grown in power and character, he still wasn't as strong as Azula. Now you obviously can't put that in this play because Azula is with them now so the idea of Mai killing them isn't bad but it needed WAY more detail. Wouldn't it be better if instead of "Mai took out Zuko and the rest of thier family" you had something like "Zuko and Azula confront Mai at the palace, where Zuko tries to reason with her, 'Mai,' he says 'The Firelord is wrong, we must put an end to this war, you can still me saved,' Mai puts her knives down and embraces Zuko, and for a second the audience thinks she believes him until she pulls a blade from her sleeve and stabs him in the back. 'Weak-willed coward' she calls him before turning to Azula. 'The Firelord may still forgive you,' she says, her hand reaching out to the princess, 'join me Azula, and you can reclaim your place.' A knife can be seen behind Mai's back. Before Azula can make a move, the curtains close. The Avatar and Water Tribe siblings turn to look at the real Fire Nation Royals. Zuko is white as a sheet, and Azula looks like she may throw up."

I feel like something like that could've been a really great character moment for these two, as it shows how they've changed, but how they are nervous about these changes. Zuko is less likely to charge in and fight now because he cares about people more, but this could get him killed for being to trusting. And it highlights the fear that Azula might not really be as good as she thinks she is. This could've been a great character moment, but I feel like the relationships are overshadowing the people in them and I know that this story is romance based but I can't help but think a bit more individual character moments would be nice.

All that said, the Katara and Aang conversation is the best dialogue you've written so far so great job! Anyways please don't get mad because I did like the chapter I just wanted to help. Keep up the good work!

just remembered that the play ends with Azula killing Zuko. I wonder how that's going to be changed now that she is with the Gaang

I have really enjoyed reading this fic over the last couple of days. I'm really excited for she. The next chapter comes out. I think it's really interesting to consider Azula on this side of things, and kinda fun to see her flounder around Sokka.
