| Dauntless10 chapter 12 . 10/29/2019 I love Tris's internalized personality and thoughts in this, but I don't particularly like the way they're projected. The swearing for example, and he saying out loud that she would kill Marcus, I mean I don't doubt that she would either, she thought some similar things in the actual books, but saying it out loud, in that way, just doesn't seem like her. And I mean I get that being introduced to things earlier in her life, in this way, by a very encouraging supporting mother instead of trying to fit herself into a box for another five years must make her feel a great deal braver and free. But still, writing her this, was, and seeing the way the other characters respond to it all, and interact with her, it just make her seem unecessarially violent and edgy, less like herself, less like Tris. The out of character-ness is throwing me off, but I do really love the story, and the way you write her mind&train of thought. |

| Dauntless10 chapter 1 . 10/28/2019 This is sooo good! I'm not usually a fan of first person narrative, I find that the "..." becomes too dull after a while, just very two dimensional; "I did..., I said..." a lot of telling, and not so much showing, but that is definitely not an issue with yours! You absolutely crushed the first person narrative, and reminded me why I used to like it so much as well as being a very refreshing change of pace. I can't wait to read more. |
