I'm quite speechless about this story. I've always been an aspiring writer, and has made a few attempts at creating a story to call my own. But this? This absolutely blows my mind, whether the plot, the characters, the drama, the romance, everything. The last chapter shows the sheer amount of planning and characterizations of the cast, something that I probably would never have the motivation to do. I didn't think that I'd actually enjoy the writing style of the story, but as I read more and more, I eventually grow accustomed, and I've come to appreciate it (although I still prefer the prose style of writing). Chapter 80 hits me hard on the feelings, really hard. Especially at the part when someone lists the deeds of a certain person (I'm trying not to spoil anything). At that part, I unknowingly started to slow down my reading speed, as I digest each word slowly and appreciatively. Each deed listed formed a scene in my mind, and I nearly broke into tears from it. This whole story has been one hell of a ride, and I'd say this has been the most enjoyable story I've read. Thank you, for creating this world that I've grown to love with. Thank you, for sharing this story that taught me a thing or two about characterization and plot. And lastly, thank you for this absolute masterpiece.

I'm sorry, but the narration style in this is too lackluster for me. There is barely any dialogue. You rely on telling the reader abridged scenes and summaries and on the reader already knowing much of the subject material. This feels more like a story outline than a story so far. I'm not sure if you are trying for a more "story-like" style, but I think the story would be better with a more traditional narration.

Annnnnnnnnnd done. Damn you write some long stories. I know they were suggestions back when this was just being released but “go back and read it all again”, I’m just like “are you crazy, I don’t have time for that”.

This story was amazing. It’s great what a little of knight fantasy Ruby and a royalty related problem can bring to the story, that and Jaune being in the right place at the right time.
I enjoyed mostly every second of this. I will admit I spoiled the ending for myself, after reading your criminal or something fic I know how dark you can get and was very willing to drop out if the ending was kinda depressing (that’s just me, not a fan of sad endings especially with romance).

Everything from the conflicts to simple funny moments were enjoyable to read. It got tense in places but the payoffs were always interesting. I liked your OC’s, they fit the roles they were meant to play well and did not feel out of place. In fact a lot felt more in place then some actual canon characters.

I’m usually a fan of stories that can handle romance well and set the relationship earlier the the epilogue or near the end but this really long build up to the inevitable conclusion was enjoyable (I guess you could say they got together sooner with that first kiss thing but it was still in the air if it would end well).

Also to add this writing style, it’s interesting. Only very rarely given actual dialogue and mostly just describing the premise of what is said, when i started I was thrown off a little by one it but it really works quite well but I think it also gets a lot of help from the fact you are using a world that is already kinda set up (I say kinda cus the retcon how stuff works so often). I may be wrong but that’s how it feels to me.

Thanks for writing this enjoyable story, I do love some Lancaster and this was very satisfying.
Thank you for providing me a joy I have lost from the actual show.

I can’t really understand the upset about the semblance being revealed...well ok I can but all this talk about Ruby not wanting to have an unfair advantage when her not knowing Pyrrha’s all but ensures her defeat. I mean come on, Pyrrha knows everything about Ruby and is a prodigy, throw in a unknown (very op against people) semblance and now who is not fighting fair.

I’m surprised by the rule change to include the flowers. I mean I understand why it could be done but not all competitors supported anyone did they?
So they are forced in a rule that favours the succession when they are neutral or don’t care.

For some reason Mordred kinda reminds me of Jhin from blazblue.

I feel like garnet being allowed into a tournament for students when she is much older and so much more skilled with a pretty powerful semblance just seems unfair. I mean why not just have Qrow or some other older huntsman fight for Jaune’s sake. Just does not seem fair.

Love what you did with Pyrrha.
I know some could consider it OOC but honestly if Pyrrha is the same as in show then she is pretty boring, the invincible girl with an interest for destiny (and a boy who treated her like normal). Nothing there is interesting and the only times I like her are in fics where she actually can cause some kind of conflict like in tournament arc (though she is way different in that than show but makes sense as well).

Awww... I finished... But I still loved everything and I’m glad this story exists. It look me a while to get used to the writing style of telling not showing. I found this story a year ago and gave up a few times until I finally realised that this story is actually one of the best I’ve ever read. And it actually sounds alright when I have the bot lady read it out to me.
