I thought this was exceptionally adorable! The little gardening joke in the midst of such a serious moment made me giggle a little too much. So much, in fact, that it startled my sleeping puppy, who is now looking at mummy like she's insane. .

You caught me off guard posting this already! But I'm probably catching you off guard by only reviewing 2 days late!

One of my favorite parts is a very early line where Yuki wants to thank Shigure, tell him he's wrong, and to die all at once. Very comical and very Yuki-esque. The whole Shigure and Yuki dynamic was perfect. He really is an overly interested father figure. Extremely overly interested.

I like your version of a bolder Tohru because it's still in character. She's not demanding anything but subtly leaving messages, that Yuki's missing because sometimes we forget that he can also be a little dense.

Overall, I think you did a great in character job of such a fumblingly awkward couple making progress in their relationship. I almost forgot, you had a very unique way of describing how their kiss felt different and it fit Yuki quite nicely.

This review is shorter than usual probably because it didn't incubate in my brain for a year.

What a freaking excellent story with some of the BEST advice I have ever read on this site at the end. I may start adding that last bit to all my virgin fics. Spread the word! Well-written, funny, and awesome. Thank you for posting!
