So...i'm just curious..i like reading on Ruby being a puppet master... i just can't quite put my finger on if this Ruby is supernatural or something else?...just confused is all

I think you should change the name. Not only is it more appropriate for this story, the current name is both generic and misleading. No joke, I legitimately mistook the notice for this story’s update for a different black-sheep Ruby who owns a club. The name would make it distinctive.

Gotta ask, but was/is there any relevance to Ruby changing from male to female? Just seems like a pointless add to be honest. Other than that, its interesting.

Are there two Ruby's or something? Because Yang keeps referring to Ruby as her brother yet Cinder refers to to Ruby.

The reason Jaune is used so much is because he follows a certain archetype. Your reasons are also part of it. In all honesty I would love to see a story where they kill him off during Emerald Forest. Problem with that is though they would need to use some other character or literally create an OC. Doesn't work all that well Jaune is needed because of his archetype. He isn't even written all that well in the beginning then again neither is Ruby. Ruby's character is ruined more due to her character relationship with Yang. Ultimately if they flipped it as Ruby was the older and she raised Yang it fixes the issue. At the moment we have Ruby leading RWBY but it was Yang who brought the team back together and then there is the fact that Yang is pretty much Ruby's mum, so she is trying to lead her mother in a sense. Doesn't work story-wise. Problem is they don't even bother trying to fix this massive hole with their characters.

Adam was an amazing character they ruined. Adam most ruined character. The one character who could have been a villain to all of team RWBY. Ruby and Adam would not even have to meet for it to work as well. If I was writing RWBY, Ruby would have been the one to kill Adam.

Why was this so popular? I can easily answer that and your pointing out jaune fics is it. Simply put when something is done over and over people get sick of it and want something new.

Wow, I don't know what I was expecting when I started to read this, but it seems like it will be a really cool story! I think learning how the nobles are tied to this society will be interesting. It seems they hold a large control of the decisions, but they may be corrupt? Ozpin seems to get along with Ruby, so she doesn't seem to be inherently evil if she is evil at all. she is an outcast, different and I don't know of that is because she's better or because she didn't fit the mold of the noble society. I am happy that Ruby is being her true self and has someone like Cinder to support her. This is an awesome start to the story!
I found this story due to the Ruby and Cinder tag. I try to stay away from the fics that have Jaune in the tags because they seem to focus on him when I want the focus to be on Ruby and her growth throughout the story. I hope you're doing well, and thanks for sharing this idea!
