I've enjoyed this quite a bit! Been reading for a couple days now, and have no idea how to describe all the things I felt... aaa, I just don't know! But this is a masterpiece, that much I do know! I don't know how to say it, but the way you write, it's more than simple narration, I guess - it carries its own feeling, like it pulses with the same emotions as Lami. The repetition and creativity in the descriptions you use, I just really like it. I look forward to checking back in on this story!

Very excited to see where this goes

Well I like how you have managed to turn cannon rehashing into something readable hopefully you can write where you are taking this in the future maybe a small training montage with a few well written spars in Ch 16 the thing I like most in the chapter was that one single heavy hit to the side of Diamantes head since that in my mind brought all of Lamis exercises and training in school into perspective for me.

Is there a specific reason Lami can't remember certain important details? I understand in the first chapter you said that she has "holes in her memories" but there are some things she really SHOULD be remembering. Like come on, she really can't remember why Corazon is acting like a dick to children? Corazon being a marine double agent was one of the major parts of Law's backstory. She should know that he's only being mean to them in an attempt to dissuade them from joining the family. How can she remember almost everything else from Law's past except for that?

Also, Lami keeps on hearing lights, voices, and emotions that aren't her own and she calls it an "unwanted, unnecessary superpower". Really Lami? Observation haki was introduced in the story as early as Skypiea, and it's been used on a consistent basis ever since the timeskip. How the hell does she not remember anything at all about observation haki? If she read the manga or watched the anime, she should at least suspect she has it.

Your story is well-written, but I just hate it when authors handicap their self-inserts by having them fail to remember important details like these. The entire point of a self-insert is that they have foreknowledge that others don't, and they use that knowledge to their advantage. Take that away and there's no point to a self-insert, you might as well be writing about an original character instead.

At the start of the chapter i was basically screaming at the screen going "HES A MARINE LAMI. A MARINE. UNDERCOVER!"
But man I feel her pain. Not knowing or understanding something and dealing with things beyond her control. It's so frustrating sighs.

Loved seeing the interactions between the characters. Law psychoanlyzing her and Lami just being baffled by it haha

Looks like Cora is using his DF to silence his own presence so her observational haki cant pick him out. Love how she prevented Law from stabbing him but his plans to prank Cora was greenlit by Lami . (but when Law finds out Cora can talk...well I hope he doesnt rush over to Doffy to rat out Corazon. In the original story Law let it go cause cora never ratted Law out to Doffy but now? Hmm!)

And... OWEN?! Oh Law lmao. It took me a hot minute to realize ITS HIS BESTIE FROM FLEVENCE. I think id like a short story called "a day in the life of Law" or something . Itd be interesting to see the story through Laws POV. And see how he sees Lami, and how he handled school and making a new best friend. He really is mature for his age its nuts. And fascinating.

I'm loving how you write this. Its refreshing and doesnt feel like were just going through the same one piece story. Cant wait to see what Doffy has planned for them. Training is gonna be painful! I Wonder if theyll pick up Lamis Haki early on
