Lovely. Very good companion to his drawing. Tugs on my heart...strong Hera isn't always so strong on the inside and this was a nice long look at that thought process. Kinda wanted more. :)

Awwwww I was literally tense just reading this. Poor Hera- you can feel how hard she’s fighting to keep it all in. And her inability to tell him that she needs him... ugh. You’re breaking my heart!

Awwww, that's so sad! It's very well written-I liked how you demonstrated the load that Hera carries on her shoulders and is determined not to let anyone else see. The person who comes closest, obviously, is kanan, but she's not even completely open with him about it. I'm interested to see if that changes now in the second half of season 4, after what happened in kindred...love your writing!

The two phrases that made my heart jump:
"She’d all but run through the Ghost, hands shaking, terrified that maybe, maybe she’d only dreamed that Kanan was safely aboard."
"She stops, and in the darkness, she can hear how he shifts his weight from one foot to the other, and she’s willing to bet that his eyes, even blind, are narrowed as he tries to read her. “What? What do you need?”"
To care that much, it is pure heartache!

I love it! What you do so well is the thought processes of these characters. These inner conversations and thoughts make your work unique (and wonderful). I love how Hera’s staying strong while she’s really breaking down inside. I wanted her to confide in him so much, but the way you had it end was great for unresolved tension purposes. Great job!
