Please update soon! I'm loving this story!
Sara K M chapter 16 . 4/6/2019
This was such a great chapter! I admit I was losing interest in this, because you seemed to be writing Nicolas a bit too perfect, but this chapter really tackles a typical problem for a young, married couple.
"How often should we spend hanging out with friends vs. spending time as couple and our child?"

What makes this worse is that Agathe is not feeling well, so Nicolas is frustrated by all the crying and wants to go out even more. While Liesl sees him wanting to go out as "he doesn't care about us anymore."
I love how Maria and Georg tried to council the younger couple about their mistakes and seeing the other's perspective. Great little M/G scene in the background, too. (She looked up at him, her eyes falling closed when he kissed her brow.) Scenes like that are my favorites. :)

Liesl's comment about how she understands now that motherhood is more than just feeding, changing, and keeping your child occupied is great, too. So true, and something that's hard to understand until you are a parent.
Such a nice mother/daughter scene.

I admit it's a bit of a stretch for me that they make such a big deal out of Nicolas "helping to take care of Agathe" as if it's expected of him. Men of that period didn't generally handle day - to - day care of their children, especially when they were babies. Their were some men who were willing to do so, but they were the minority.
Still, I agree that it seemed as if Nicolas didn't care that Agathe wasn't well, and THAT would probably upset a mother/wife.

Have you thought about maybe a 4-5 month time jump... will Liesl be with Maria when she gives birth ?

Like the story.
DeadlyFandoms chapter 14 . 1/10/2019
A jump would be fine, but I would also enjoy a Maria birth scene :P

This is so lovely. I'm loving all the fluffy stuff. And that fact that Nicholas is putting some quality time in with her brothers is amazing.

Love love love this!
lifeissgoodz chapter 8 . 1/9/2019
I started to read this story - for the first time, this morning. I read 3 chapters before the nursery drop off and now I've read 5 more. So sorry for not reviewing every chapter. Which is what I shall do from now on. How exciting is this story?! Some parts of this story I was sitting with my heart in my mouth and I could hear my heart beating. Especially the part when they had to tell Georg about the pregnancy. I'm really enjoying the relationship that Maria has with Liesl. I am totally hooked on this story. Well done Liesl, she has gone through so much change in so little time. A surprise pregnancy, having to tell her Mothet, then the unexpecting Father and then her actual Father. What an ordeal, the woman deserves a medal just for that alone. Followed by a quick wedding. And very short honeymoon and then a premature delivery. What a hero! And I love the fact that Maria is expecting as well, especially after her previous experiences. Can't wait to read the rest. Thank you :)

I can understand Liesl's fear of vomiting - I also suffer that - although I've seen it loads of times as a paramedic - and that nasty bit about vomiting blood - I've seen that with people I treat who can't be saved,

I can understand Liesl's fear of vomiting - I also suffer that - although I've seen it loads of times as a nasty bit about vomiting blood - I've seen that as well with people I treat who can't be saved.

I love the story - but not the bit about Rosie being ill. My young nephew - who I'm very fond of - was poorly recently - and we thought we'd lose him.
