For those of you wondering about my review, it was a response to a person stating I should not write stories in the BotW universe because he dislikes my portrayals of Link. He or she is entitled to his opinion, but they cannot tell a writer what they can and cannot write about.

Narrative is subjective and objective.

Constructive criticism is excellent, but stating a writer can't write in a world because there might conflict with character distinction is silly. That's all.

This was for the reader who stated BotW was off limits. No story on a fanfiction website is off limits to a writer. You have to find a story that suits your taste.

You should definitely make this a full fledged story. I'm curious to know your take on the reconstruction of a wild and fragmented kingdom. I loved how you tackled the OOT aftermath, in both stories. I'm starting to favor The Covenant, the Keeper, and the Promise more than HZGHGB-Link's a total badass (I think). Lol.

For a first installment it was pretty good, it actually gave me the want to see more of it.

So far everything is well written, and the characters are nicely handled.

I'm awaiting with impatience the next chapters to come.

It sure was a surprise to wake up to an update from you after your hiatus, even more surprising for it to be something new. I will say that I did enjoy this chapter and it is cool to see you do a story were Link and Zelda's relationship is more professional than romantic. And I would enjoy seeing a post BotW fic from you, especially if you're gonna tackle rebuilding Hyrule. Though I do hope you don't plan on juggling your fics, I'm not really a fan of going back and forth from different stories from the same author, though if a potential BotW story isn't too long it wont be a problem. But as always it's up to you.

A few things though. You mentioned Zelda having bright blue eyes. BotW Zelda's eyes are actually green but no biggie. Also Lynel and Rhoam have been misspelled some but also not a big deal.
I also think that it doesn't make much sense that Zelda is interested in being able to tap into her powers consistently post BotW. If you recall at the very end of Breath she says that her powers may have dwindled over the past hundred years. And that she is surprised to admit that she can accept it. I just think that that dialogue their kinda shows that she isn't particularly interested in having it at that point. But I suppose she could always change her mind.

Yes, yes, and yes. PLEASE continue. I have been dreaming of a ZR inspired BotW fanfic. I like this opening, but if you aren't going to keep it a one shot, then I would suggest adding more filler for this chapter. It is quite short in comparison to your other opening chapters. By the way, this isn't going to stall Groove is it? You were so close to finishing and never did. Please finish Groove before you delve into this.

Felt a bit rushed for a start and their relationship is extremely professional in contrast to what was shown in the game (eventually) but it could just be due to a new Link. Apart from that this was a solid beginning.

Yes. Would absolutely love to see you do a ZR-style BOTW story! Give me loads of conflict and wonderfully imperfect characters! Make throw my phone across the room like I did in the middle chapters of Groove! It begs to be written!

You’re back! And starting a botw story as I hoped you would...
I think it’s a little early for me to say I like or dislike the story so far. However, I would like to see what direction you go (so I suppose I fall into the “like” category). I will say this though: although I was a huge fan of botw, I didn’t particularly care for Zelda’s character. That being said I don’t mean to try to make you make her likable if you know what I mean. I just hope that you make each character “fit” the contexts of the story.
(This is a little hard to explain lol)
For example the Zelda and Link you created for TAH “fit” twilight princess. I think the Zelda and Link that we were given in botw differ greatly than their counterparts from other Zelda games and I hope that you’re able to bring that to life should you continue (like I would never picture this Link being half as bold as the Link from TAH)
