It's always a wonder to read a fix of yours :)
Nurayy chapter 1 . 2/20/2019
How utterly beautiful! How is it possible to write like this?! I don't know what to tell you. There is no words. All the words I could find are not enough to describe how your stories shake me, capture me.
The way you describe Thranduil, I love it, so much in character, you emhasize his character. The way you describe Legolas is breathtaking. And their dialogues, so simple and yet so extremely deep.
I dont know what to say. I feel it.
diarona chapter 1 . 10/29/2018
I will say simply, thank you, for this beautifully formed and thought-provoking piece. I hope, very much, that you will bring us more vignettes from Middle Earth. Welcome home, indeed.
3326freespirit chapter 1 . 9/28/2018
Thranduil mentions meeting different versions of Legolas as he grows up...one specific one was when Legolas lost his mother... I find that could be a very intriguing storyline for both father and son... love this... keep up the excellent work!
Lotrfn chapter 1 . 7/9/2018
Just found this. Really appreciated the theme of returning home. The trepidation, the expectation, the uncertainly. Very deftly handled and I love both your Legolas and Thranduil also.
I adored Lee Pace as Thranduil. Had some serious quibbles with some of his characterization by the writers but Lee brought him to life with all the dignity and strength I would expect from the King who stood against the darkness for so long. He was glorious. Enthralling portrayal.
I explored this idea of returning home for Legolas in one of my fics as well-it's a fascinating topic. We know the sea longing changed him but he was altered in many ways by this whole experience. You've shown us nuances of that here,
And you've shown us what a unique and intrepid individual Legolas was even BEFORE he went away as part of the fellowship. Thranduil not being all that shocked at some of his son's exploits made me laugh.

This was everything I needed in the world. I honestly can’t even think what to write. I feel like I’ve scoured the internet for this. And now that I’ve found it, I’m overwhelmed. Amazing. Sheer, utter brilliance.
AraneltheSilvan chapter 1 . 3/18/2018
Another one like this maybe elaborating on the different times Thranduil has met Legolas would be great! Love the imagery!
Another Sindar chapter 1 . 3/1/2018
I love your portrayal of Thranduil and Legolas. The entire story is masterfully written and a pleasure to read. I'd love to see more of your LOTR stories!
Hawaiichick chapter 2 . 2/25/2018
Loved your thoughts on where and why you took the story in the direction you did. Makes me want to re-read this...which I’m 100% sure I will be doing in the near future. I love your explanation of Legolas in the Hobbit vs LOTR. Very insightful and I love your reasonings. Kind of makes me want to re-watch all the movies again too. :D
Hawaiichick chapter 1 . 2/25/2018
What a beautiful and poetic ending. I love seeing the vulnerability in both Legolas and Thranduil. I love seeing them in father and son mode and the contrast between king and prince. I love getting a glimpse of Thranduil’s thoughts while his son was away and I love seeing him observe the differences in his son when he returns. Another simply perfect story. Thank you!

Oh My God, You're back. Glad to see you in ffn again. Another great story. Simple but so deep. There are many story about Legolas' homecoming, but yours is new. To look at a new shade of Legolas that was crafted when he was in the war and how Thranduil dealt with it. I'm new to your story but, I am absolutely in love with all your story. Let me know if you have made a book of your own, I'd love to read it.
