Ah the doorknob test... well adrien trusts ladybug and knows how touchy she can be about identities so i dont think he's going to look . But at the same time he needs answers. She confirmed she knows who he is which is a bug deal and said she loved him but she also seemed confused and his lady always rejected him before. This abrupt attitude change needs a exsplination.
Adrien trusts his lady isnt shallow but if she pylls the you dont love the real me shtick i might help mari if adrien turns that argument back on her. Because facts are she is closer to chat and she always rejected chat before when nothing has changed who he is. I think adrien would be happy she loves him but out if the two adrien is the real celebrity. He is famous, rich, a model his dad is a fashion icon and he has to act proper almost all the time. And ladybug is amazing but no one nakes her act a certain way and she isnt perfect. man Adrien has a lot of faith in mari and ladybug to tell him the truth strait out and that mari wouldn't lie to him after apologizing. ironically he had hit the nail on the head that she had figured him out and had been trying to tell him but he seems to think now that was wishful thinking on his part. I bet he will tell ladybug about trying to look so he can keep being honest and upfront to contrast mari's insecurity which should both comfort mari but also make her feel worse she lied to her kitty's trusting face XD
chat noir will definitely have some questions about ladybug's behavior that was caught on tape. but this does seem to have helped kick some perspective into mari even though she is panicking over chat getting hit when she is liteally the one who can fix this and him getting hit has happened before but it does sow how stressed mai has been over thinking everything. and mari youhad no issues stealing a kiss during dark cupid from chat XD you were even enthusiastic so you taking a cheek kiss is undewhelmng. you could at least claim you were tying to break the spell if you kiss him on the mouth! or are you more self aware and you think it would be unfair to take his second kiss while oblivious and under a spell?

Man mari is really not taking chat turning into stone well. Even though logically mari should know this isnt the first time chat has been hit and that he will be okay as long as she solves the akuma like she always has. As when ever he got hit before she always got more determined to fight instead of panicing and crying. But mari cant really think logically around adrien and she was already stressed out from the panic of running to go find tikki and feeling bad about lying to adrien and not being honest. And this is one of the big first times ladybug has seen chat noir het affected since finding out he is adrien. And while mari always trusted chat noir compleyely it seems she has less faith in him after finding out he is her adrien and coupled with it exasperaying her fear of losing him and not being used to adrien being in danger i can see why she started to cry. Add that she knows she could have been there sooner if she hadnt taken off her earings and left them at home and if she hadnt stalled talking to tikki.
Glad mari's worries and trying not be ladybug actually caved very quickly when a actual akuma showed up. It showed that despite her self pity her duty to protecting paris is important to her.
Though mari needs to get her head in the game instead of crying. She is still in the open and could be hit by the akuma while she is distracted crying. Which does mean tikki's worry of mari not handling the truth well that mari dismissed as a exagetation in the begining has some merit. Mari isnt used to her crush being in danger so isnt reaction well which has a nice contrast with adrien who IS used to his crush being ib danger and trustinng her to takr care of herself.
Everyone catching the bteak down on cameria will be interesting for later. Fact is that adrien thinks that ladybug knows who he is being she hinted so in her cookie. Which is one of the main reasons why he got reinvigorated trying to find out who she is. To make things fair. Bit at the same time ladybug hasnt told him its okay to find her(even though that was kindof the point of the fortune cookies) and mari bejng she isnt ready yet and doesnt want yo be caught out in lying to his face it touchy about him looking for her. Which she saw as a betrayal of her trust because she doesnt want tp be found at. The same time th a t ksnt fair becausr SHE knows who he is and broke her own rule. But i do get what it represrnts. Mati needs to be ready and she doesnt want more pressure and at least she knows adrien is upset directly from her actions and he realky wants to knpw even if eventually he backs down on 's promise made me both cringe and laugj and like how mari is feeling even eorsrfor lyinv and that if the reveal happens she is goingvto deal with him knowingshe lied.
Though...ladybug has never showed interest in chat before and mari had lied yo him and pointed him in the wrong direction about who is ladybug. And then mari said she was jealous of ladybug abf had a crush on adrien. Which adtien had never suspected. So if the reveal happens will he wonder if she lied about havinh a crush on him? She is his friend as his partner and if sje foumd him ojt he coyld be very confused about why she didnt just try telling him directly who she is and why she hadnt seemed to trust him.
Though that is speculation for the future.
I however cant wait yo see the result of after the battle. Adtien just thinks its anormal battle and ladybug never reacted to him being hit so badly before so it eould be ontetesting if mari's mixed feeling got fueled into her temper where she scolds him for being hit. Which could get him defensivebecause he is just doing his job like always. It could be ontrtesting if mari gets over pritective of chat and doesnt want totreat him roughly with comfort which sbe always did before.
I also think adrien who is well aware of ladybug's dislike for lisrs will try being honest ewith her that he had tried to find her for a little bit snd he is sorry he almost betrayed her trust.
I thing adtien WILL be very alarmed amd knowsomething has gone wrong without him noticing till now as ladybug has never showd interest romantically in chat before. Andwas rejecting his flirtations like usual before so her clinginv saying she loves him is unusual. And he knows he gad hotten hit before and she always fought harder and kept her gocus on the akuma and solving the problem, she never despaired about losing him to his knowledge before and he knows she knows she can fix things with solving the her breaking down like thay will tip him off that something was that he has no idea sbe had given up her ring as thdy always get to thebattle usually at different times so he wont noticeher being unusually late or anything because she was later for copycat.
So he will probably know something is wrong and TJAT he can push for answers with no guilt as he is herpartner and whtevet it was affected her in battle nd probably involves him.

But they are based more in her own view of hetself and not taking into account actualcircumsyance and she keeps hurting hersrlf and adrien andshe isnt happy either. I understand her.
