The Good End you wrote could not erase the bitter aftertaste of The Bad End In Chapter 5..
In fact it only increased the Despairing Truth of that event that will nnever change..
You should have posted GOOD END before THE Bad End...

Thank you guys for writing this. It's one of VERY few shorter fanfictions that have given me reasons to actually feel things. The BAD END was by far the most impactful because of the way my emotions work atleast. The writing throughout all the chapters was great despite some tiny mistakes in some areas and the characters acted as I would imagine they would in the same scenario in canon

I have to add, despite loving the Raildex universe I REALLY hate how Kamachi just screwed Misaki over. I can see why he had to do what he did because of how horrendously overpowered a character like Misaki is in terms of "romance" compared to all other characters in the universe. If Touma could remember her I don't believe for a second that she wouldn't be his girlfriend. Anytime she has any screentime in the novels or the railgun manga it's just a constant reminder of sadness.

Also, I think I'm not the only one that wouldn't mind a followup to this.

If Touma can recall Misaki, how about Ayu going

As for the bad end... Still read it, and it was suitably heart-rending, but man am I glad I didn't have to wait for the good end chapter. I would have embarrassed myself begging, ya see.

Now all I need is an ongoing slice of life version of this (like the OTP Next series by DsCrystalEyes) and to make everything better!

This story was a bit of a doozy. I rarely cry nowadays, especially not to fanfiction. The last time I cried to a story was a few years ago, around half a decade ago, when I first read one of pokemaster12's story. I believe it was Shifts in Life, but that Haku death scene hit me somewhere in the gut of my feels. The amount of emotion I felt left a strong impact on me, and that was back when I was a lot younger than I am right now.

Anyway, even if my concious self believes that Misaki deserves the happy ending she had, I have to say that the emotions I felt from the Bad End, as well as the sense of foreboding the little hints you put in Chapter 5 makes me like that ending more. That while it might be sad, it managed to show the strength of character and the willingness to endure Misaki has, as well as Touma's personality and his genuine remorse on not being able to help Misaki. The good end was lighthearted and fluffy but I honestly wouldn't be against the Bad end being canon, especially since I thought Chapter 7 would be the "True End" ending. But that's fine, headcanons are a thing, and it doesn't matter how long bad end Misaki has to search/wait. She just has to take on both the Shirou and Saber roles for this romance to work.

Oh well no third end a little disappointed but who give a damn when you created such beauty for us.
