Small quibble:

While fits for corner mom&pop shop in a tiny town.

In huge ass dumb box store/super center. Even for near eidetic memory shopper, maybe near opposite; seeing the same person again, the unusual event.
I suppose if some ALWAYS shopping the same day & time, maybe that group of shoppers will see each other week to week.

The girl, Sariel. If she's much past leaving single digit ages behind. The last scene, IMO, overly immature for her age. If not (poor reading on my part), I missed the intended portrayal. My guess, previously, would have been, the girl a teenager or young adult.

Love the sound of Tale of Souls and Malik Alshita. A book called "Dead Witch Walking" by Kim Harrison is a great urban fantasy book that may provide inspiration and make you laugh at a hilarious pixy.

I like the story

Enjoy the story and glad to see it continue. That being said one or two issues ; 1) identification & 2) won't the property owners have some issues with building anything on their land. All land is either privately owned or held by the Crown in England, I would believe. Until next time. Thanks for sharing.

I found one of those possible mistakes that you asked us to be on the lookout for. Other reviews will probably mention it too. In the first chapter, you said that Igneel's hair was black. In this chapter, you've described it as a 'blood red ponytail'.
