I just sent my weekend blowing through all 34 chapters of this fic! I LOVE it! Possibly my favorite R&I fic ever. You have the characters down so well; particularly Maura who I feel is very difficult for people to capture properly. Everything is perfection. The slow burn, the integration of the case, the Rizzoli family drama. This is the way the show should've progressed. I can't wait for more. Thank you!

I can definitely see Jane feeling ambiguous about the FBI job because of how much she would be missing in Boston.

Truth be told, I always thought that was a flaw in the series finale. I just couldn’t see Jane leaving Boston, her family, Maura, or the BPD.

this story is just amazingly good! i love the friendship between maura and nina and i really hope she and frankie take jane and mauras relationship in stride so they can double date lmao i think rizzles might combust from the sexual tension but i love the slowburn and soft touches and their dynamics that you write so well!

Awe! I think my heart just exploded. That ending was sooooooooooo sweet! I mean it was hot too, with the make out and the grinding and the competing to be on top but the ending... AWEEEE! Seriously. It worked so well too. Maura was getting so lost in their movements that she was letting her emotions take her over but then it was clear that she didn’t want to go the whole way because of her feelings. Which was why she stopped them. She made the first move, she always seems to be the one to make the new move, so with this she was stuck. If they consummated their relationship without her expressing her feelings than she’d probably feel broken so she wanted to stop. Then Jane says “I love you too” and WHAM! Everything changed. I cannot wait to see how Maura truly reacts to jane saying those three little words. Especially being the first one too, after their entire relationship being moreso from Maura’s side.

I am however super glad that you did not have Maura get hurt in that storm. The way you set it up, I was seriously worried it was going to turn into something bad. Then she came back without a hitch and Jane cleaned and made her food and tea. So sweet.

The shopping bit and TJ was pretty funny though. First with Jane collapsing on the ground in exhaustion, Maura trying to be funny and then TJ essentially counting until Jane yelled, so funny. Then Maura giving Jane crap about her outfit. I especially loved the show but because Jane knows her so well. Only to be right of course. Lol.

It’s also pretty funny that Angela is still on Jane about the FBI guy about the dinner. Then Lydia and her nonsense. Classic.

I can’t wait until Tasha is back though. Mostly because I’m curious to know what she’s going to say now about their relationship. They are definitely a lot closer now since New York.

As always. I can’t wait to see what comes next. I’m also really curious about this secret thing Maura had at BPD. There must be something to that... hmm...

I really like Nina in this story. She's good for and with Frankie and her and Maura have a very cute friendship. Being with Rizzolis gives them something in common to bond over.
