Just going through the SSHG archives and saw this again. Even though I posted a comment already, I will do it again. This piece of work DEFINITELY deserves a lot more reviews than what it's currently at. Out of all the stories Ive read in Fanfiction and Archive of our own, this is easily in my top 10 for this pairing. God knows why the review count is low, VERY UNDERRATED. The other comments I read a few minutes ago definitely echoes my sentiments lol.

This story, "In the Shadow of Your Wings", along with it's continuation, "Knit Me Together" truly are hidden gems. They are not the gems found near the entrance of the SSHG cave, oh no, they are near the back where only a select few of us have ventured for only the finest and most rare of treasures... and after reading, plucking them from the wall of the cave, we recognise their potential as polished, fine cut, and jewellery-worthy gems. Proudly worn.

Why these two stories do not have more recognition is absolutely beyond me. Although it does give me a thrill to know that I've found something so wonderful and secret-kept, I must leave a review to express my appreciation, for it is well earned and deserved.

You are an excellent writer.

Within the swirling sea of fanfiction, it can be rare to find an author with obvious care and attention to detail. Thank you for the time and effort you put into your writing, it really shows. Also, I loved your original ideas: the names for certain spells and potions, the "Oraverit" pocket watch, the book "Ende of Deth", amongst others, (I will not spoil any more,) they are all very creative.

I couldn't stop reading, and while the chapters are long, they didn't scare me away in the slightest. In fact, they passed by rather quickly - I was so entranced. You managed to create images and emotions within your writing that have yet to leave my mind; I can no longer hear "Pavane Pour une Infante Défunte" without thinking about this fic.

Who knew that hidden amongst the shelves of your library, primarily adorned with Bellamort books, I would find "The Pslamody Series", and have your two SSHG fics become some of my all-time favourites.

I have no words to describe how much I enjoyed this ff! I loved the way you wrote them, how their romance evolved chapter by chapter, the plot twists, how you mixed up your story with the original one and least but absolutely not last, I LOVED YOUR WRITING! I’m beyond speechless!
I have the felling that I will re-read this ff over and over again many many times.
I’m starting ‘Knit Me Together’ now and I’m already hopelessly in love!

This story is written really beautiful, I can't believe you've had so few reviews. I can only suppose it comes with putting the story all at once because the writing is phenomenal.
That said I'm worried Hermione is ok with marrying Snape in such an arcane way...divorce proof?...Lives dependent on each other so much that one may die shortly after the other? I would have hoped Hermione sensible enough not to see that as romantic, I can only hope this thinking is the product of a young girl in love and she will come to think better later on.

I like the way Occlumency isn't always failsafe, their dynamics, all the pain. The very beginning of their relationship was perhaps a bit quick but I guess you didn't have much to play with if it was to start from the Christmas break. Also the Centaur theme in the beginning, I wonder what you'll do with that as it sort of fizzled out in this instalment.
