Haha. I am appreciating the digs at Gosho's childhood romance trope. I feel like I would have benefitted from some more context. At first I was thinking it was Shinichi narrating, which confused me, because your Higo sounds nothing like him (or is it Rei?). The end is a bit abrupt too. Is she leaving him for Shinichi? We're they both cheating? She I sorrowful to leave him, is it something else? Has the antidote gone bad? So goshdarn many questions that make it happen to pin the story down I my head.

Some lovely sentiments though. Truly intriguing. :D

Oh my... I would like this kind of story, moreee please, if you can. The romance for Shiho and Higo, so excited, for me. I always admire Shiho get pairings with everyone, exclude ShinShi.

This is sort of embarrassing to tell but you should know that we have a fanfiction bot in the coai discord server and when the notification of your fic came in everyone was like "HOLY CHRIST FS DID ANOTHER COAI !" and it was sort of a v exciting thing because that server could be also renamed as the FS fan club server or something lol (ahem there might or might not be a channel dedicated in it's entirety to GaT discussion. not my doing i swear [[holds out hands]])

I start reading this and for a whole minute i'm like 'JOKE'S ON YOU BECAUSE THIS IS A SHIGO FIC BWAHAHAHA (IN YOUR FACES!)' y'know because, the bot doesn't really show the summary and for some reason neither does the mobile version of the page. And I'm like, a really highkey ShiGo shipper! (Like I sort of ship it as a lifeboat because the coai ship is ... we all know what it is. And ShiGo is like, worst case scenario please marry Higo, I beg you Gosho. I just want her to be happy y'know. And Higo is like semi decent by dcmk standards.)

And he knew Shiho when she was little? and that's why it's titled 'childhood friends’? and that's why he thinks they are fated? and that's why she's scared of him and left him?

You had me at the last part lol. I was getting invested with their relationship until... it became sweetheart story again. If this happened in canon, it would have been a nasty but funny turn of events Gotta stay in pattern huh.
