I must admit that as I read that Gilgamesh was influencing him, it filled me with dread, through at the end you kept his goal of protecting Irisviel and even Arturia (I hope). You placed her as a character so I hope that they can be together in the end. Irisviel as the loving mother and Shirou forming a pair with Arturia. She needs saving as well.

I want more! I guess Kid Gil can have a friend other than Enkidu, but Gil Gil cannot.

Hmm, interesting. Wonder if Kiri actually did use the wish to bring Iri back but that doesn't seem right as the fire still happened indicating that he still ordered Saber to NP it.

Gil actually considers Shirou a friend is surprising and makes me interested in them crossing paths again.

Iri, you can't die, i refuse to accept even the possibility. Pretty sure her death will break both myself and Shirou. Also, how is he supposed to achieve the coveted mother/daughter combo if you die?

Still not sure why Merlin hates and wants Shirou dead as nothing in the memories really seems all that bad.

I remember devouring this story when I discovered it as there are few fics with Irisviel surviving the fourth war and living with Shirou.

The originality here is that we expect some things of the fifth war, of the character of Shirou and you have subverted them all and just now, in this last chapters we are starting to get the whole picture... but there is still so much that we don't know and so much that we guess.

For instance at first I supposed that the source of Merlin's hate and manipulation was Shirou's future as a Counter Guardian EMIYA but it seems too exaggerated for something that, as terrible as it is, is within the natural order. Being a CG is terrible to Archer because of the ideals that he inherited from Kiritsugu but with this missing it can't be just that... as that possible future only becomes a reality if Shirou takes part as saber's master in the fifth GW and remains as he is which is not the case here.

And yet Merlin asks him to kil himself for the sake of humanity... so there must be something more.

Could this be related to Gil and Shirou becoming friends (!)?

See, we may have gotten some of the pieces, but the full picture is still far from being complete.

At least we know now what happened with Kiritsugu and Irisviel and isn't that a shocker?

I must say, this story was immensely enthralling. I read it all in one sitting, and it really kept me guessing. As a long time fan of F/SN this really tickled my fancy.

Oh please continue. My hands trembled at not seeing another chapter. I wish to know what will become of them? I feel for Saber as she is also having feelings for him. I so wish you could make her stay with them. Please make her stay with them, with Iri and Shirō. I can’t tell how many stories i have read where she has to go away and not have a new chance in life. She deserves to be with him.

Just got done read this, gotta say I'm enjoying the story so far. Irisviel being alive is a little strange given what she is and what her purpose is it shouldn’t be possible, especially since her body was beginning to breakdown at the end of the 4th Grail War. Are planning to explain how she's still alive and functional after 10 years or is it just one of those things we’re just gonna have to go with?

Regardless I love her relationship with Shirou, they’re so cute together. Shirou has a massive crush on Iri, even if he doesn’t want to admit it to himself, as well as how Iri acts like a massive child when she’s around him despite being a powerful mage(go Team Mommyviel).

I’m especially interested to see what Shirou will do once he wakes up and will have memories restored, there’s so many directions he can in. I can’t wait to see his reaction when he learns what Irisviel is as well as her real age (she’s was ‘born’ 9 years prior to the 4th war meaning she’s only 20).

Not to mention He still needs to have a proper meeting with Caster plus I’m curious to see how Rider will come back into this (I can't help it I'm a ShirouxRider shipper) not to mention the reveal of Sakura being her real Master (honestly I think Dark Sakura might happen just because of Shirou’s interaction with Irisviel).

Also another thing I love is Shirou’s interaction with EMIYA, I can’t help but love seeing Archer’s glee at trolling Shirou.

Hope you update soon, I'm really interested in seeing what's going to happen next.
